On the Rise Bread Company

I visited the bakery today because I’m visiting Roanoke for a short time. I was excited to see what gf options they had available but, unfortunately, they only have gluten free bread specifically for the sandwiches. I asked if it was possible to buy a loaf of their gf bread and they said no. BIG disappointment for someone who loves exploring gf bakeries in different cities.

If you’re looking for a sweet afternoon treat, I wouldn’t recommend as they don’t serve any gf treats. If you’re looking for lunch, the menu reads well and the sandwiches sound good.

Was pleasantly suprised to find they had gluten free bread and snickerdoodles! Knowledgeable staff, great food and homey atmosphere!
