I was just diagnosed with celiac disease a little under 2 months ago. A friend really wanted to take me to this rural bar/restaurant because she swore they have great gluten-free pizza (I live in Madison, WI and it’s just under half hour drive from my home). They don’t have a website, so I called them the day prior and asked to speak to the manager, as suggested at my recent visit with a nutritionist whenever I plan to eat at a new place. The lady that answered the phone said sure & asked if she could ask why, and I started to tell her that I had celiac disease and ask if they indeed had gluten-free crust, if they prepared it in a separate cleaning area, took sauce & ingredients from new bins to avoid cross contamination, etc. She assured me that all of the staff was fully trained and to just let my server know. They offer both 10 inch gluten-free and cauliflower crusts. We went there last night and it was delicious. I’ve had no signs of eating gluten or getting sick in any way. I highly recommend.
