My first time trying to order asian food since my diagnosis and it really solidified how hard and scary it is to navigate restaurants now. Their menu says they have gluten free options and to “ask your server” next to some items, but when i I asked the to-go employee they didn’t know. Someone from the kitchen was attempting to tell them how to help me but they kept asking if i would like to order items with gluten. I finally settled on a dish with chicken, veggies, and brown sauce that had a gf logo by it, after they told me the other things i tried to order were not safe. I left embarrassed, got home, tried the dish, and then realized I couldn’t trust that it didn’t have soy sauce in it. it was so delicious but this experience was horrifying.
