We had amazing sushi! My gluten capable husband ordered a few things that looked amazing! I stuck with the safe stuff, cucumber roll, avocado roll and a veggie combo. They brought me Tamari and were very aware of my gluten allergy. It was all very good and my husband said their fish was very good quality and delicious. Definitely our new sushi spot!
Sushi was really good and the chef seemed knowledgeable about gluten and cross contamination.
Sushi is delicious and is my favorite place to go, and I work in Seattle!
Before I was diagnosed with non celiac gluten sensitivity this was my FAVORITE sushi place, like sometimes 2-3 times a week favorite. They were amazing at helping me find food I can eat while I was on a strict elimination diet, and they continue to be amazing at making me delicious sushi that is gluten, dairy, and soy free (I bring my own coconut aminos). They have confirmed that their sushi rice is gluten free, as is their wasabi. They offer tamari, as well. That being said, I cannot vouch for them being celiac or severe intolerance/cross-contamination safe since I don't know how severe my own intolerance to gluten is yet. All I can say is they have options, are very helpful and understanding of your requests and limitations, and are familiar with serving customers with allergies and intolerances. I have eaten there dozens of times since my food intolerances became severe and I had to completely cut out dairy, gluten, and soy and I have never been "poisoned" at Oshima. I've been "poisoned" elsewhere, even from store bought packaged foods, but never from Oshima.I love this place! :) <3
