Standard Outback fare. We had to chew out our waitress a little bit to get her to understand that it wasn't a 'whatever' sort of situation when I said it needs to be gluten free but we had no issues with our meal.
They have an extensive GF menu, and while I've been in other Outback restaurants that knew how to handle GF orders, this one did NOT! Obviously they have not been trained properly. I told them up front that my order needed to be GF. Even so, I still always tell them no croutons for my salad. The salad came out with croutons. My steak came out with an announcement that it was lo-cal and when I asked if that meant that it was also GF, they didn't know. The waitress came back and said she checked and was okay because they didn't put butter on it! After calling on the manager and supposedly checking with the cook, I finally had a cold $24 steak that I was not confident that I could eat!
I've eaten at this chain before and have never had an adverse reaction. They bring a small loaf of bread and some butter automatically but you can just immediately request that they take it away. They have a clear gluten free menu that specifies how to order you food I.e. order without bun, without seasoning. At this location I got a bacon cheeseburger without bun and a plain baked potato with sour cream on the side. It was very filling and tasty. Our table was clean with no crumbs and on this occasion I did not suffer any reaction so I am fairly certain my food was not contaminated.
Good waiter and food. Thunder doe. Under was made properly. Followed the menu and wait staff had correct answers. It was cool.
Worst gluten free dining experience I've ever had. Put croutons in my salad, I sent it back for a new salad. It was brought to me with crouton crumbs on it. Meal came with wrong sides that were not gf. Offered to give me a dessert, then forgot. When it came they forgot the ice cream. Manager was defensive and annoyed with me for some reason. Horrible! Next time I visit corpus I will cook my own meals, they're too behind the times here.
My company wanted to order us a holiday lunch. We order with outback. My food was marked gluten free and put in its own bag. It was a great experience.

I went there for dinner with my boyfriend and explained to our server that i had celiac disease. He came back with a gluten free menu with a variety of options, i felt so comfortable eating there and my dinner was amazing! he explained to me that they take it very seriously and that he will explain to the cooks and write an extra note. It was an 100/10 experience for me.

I was on a trip to Splash Lagoon with family and was very hesitant to eat here as I get sick at one closest to where I live. I ate here with no issues! I got the wedge salad and loaded baked potato. The staff was knowledgeable and helpful!

This place was awful from our walk in to our overall experience! First thing when we got there the hostess told us that they only had one table available by the bar, but when I looked around only a few tables were occupied and mostly by the bar. She went on to instruct us that all the other tables were dirty!! My husband did not want to create a scene so we sat down and decided to order simple and had burgers mine with no bun. I did not get sick from the food or at least not yet but I will never return to this restaurant!! Very sad that the manager didn’t even try or get someone to clean off all those tables including wait staff!
