Outback Steakhouse

My celiac daughter ate there twice and was sick both times. Waiter seem unconcerned and dismissive about celiac and GF. The first time brought the salad with croutons, came back with the salad without croutons and she felt sick immediately. The same happened the second visit, no croutons on the salad but sick within minutes of eating the salad. This is particular to this Terre Haute location. They must not follow procedures to avoid cc. We have had consistent no issues back in Plano TX.

I had to order delivery because I was worn out from riding from Erie, PA.

The woman who took my order understood I have a gluten allergy-Celiac.

When my order was delivered to the hotel there was bread wrapped in foil with the dressings for my potatoe.

Unbelievable

I have this to say. If Outback Steakhouse is going into business selling fat and grisle and ligaments as ribeye steak then I will not give you my money again.

Or maybe because it was a delivery piece of meat/ligament/grisle the cook felt it acceptable.

Favorite gluten free meat eaters paradise

Waitress didn't seem to take my requests seriously. Didn't eat much just because I was unsure. Baked potato was safe. Not sure I will eat here again.

Told them I was celiac and ordered a ceasar salad with my dinner. They brought out a regular salad with croutons on it. Made me wonder about my dinner so I asked for the manager. He did go back and start my food from scratch but not sure what would have happened if I had not intervened.c

Good experience here. The waitress assured us the manager knew all about making sure things were gluten free. Good GF menu and the food was great!

Wonderful staff that know about food allergies! Great GF menu and say how things Are prepared separately from other foods even before asking.

Impressed with all the gf options. Dos was great!

This is my favorite GF place in Terre Haute because they take me seriously when I mention my gluten allergy. They will mix salads separately and will ask follow-up questions when taking your order.

Lots of gluten free choices, excellent food!!

I went there for dinner with my boyfriend and explained to our server that i had celiac disease. He came back with a gluten free menu with a variety of options, i felt so comfortable eating there and my dinner was amazing! he explained to me that they take it very seriously and that he will explain to the cooks and write an extra note. It was an 100/10 experience for me.

I was on a trip to Splash Lagoon with family and was very hesitant to eat here as I get sick at one closest to where I live. I ate here with no issues! I got the wedge salad and loaded baked potato. The staff was knowledgeable and helpful!

This place was awful from our walk in to our overall experience! First thing when we got there the hostess told us that they only had one table available by the bar, but when I looked around only a few tables were occupied and mostly by the bar. She went on to instruct us that all the other tables were dirty!! My husband did not want to create a scene so we sat down and decided to order simple and had burgers mine with no bun. I did not get sick from the food or at least not yet but I will never return to this restaurant!! Very sad that the manager didn’t even try or get someone to clean off all those tables including wait staff!
