I really like the Victoria steak and they have enough GF choices to satisfy me. Even brownies for dessert if I want!
Great gf menu and great food. Have eaten here many times in last nine years. Never had a problem.
Last night I ordered off the GF menu and today am having a reaction. I know that this was the only area out of my control. I can only assume cross contamination.
expensive and nothing realy for kids unless they want a plain dry steak or chicken breast.
My waitress was very knowledgable and made sure that everything was going to be safe for me to eat. I highly recommend the salmon!
The staff was amazing & actually sent a gentleman named Kevin who is also a celiac. He talked with us a bit & then my hubby was willing to take a chance with French fries ( outback strains their grease daily) & the manager came over to double check he understood their fries aren't gluten free. The first and only restaurant anywhere we've been that was that concerned.
Ordered curbside service online. Order was missing several items including key ingredients like chicken on the Cobb salad. Quality over all was not very good and definitely not up to their usual standards. I would not try the curbside option again. My wife who is very sensitive to gluten did not get sick this is why I gave stars.
My husband and I ate lunch here today. I ordered the grilled shrimp for an appetizer. When it came out it was on toasted bread, I immediately told him I couldn't eat it. He apologized and took it back. The chef even came out and talked to me. they brought me a new one. Everything tasted great and MOST important I did not get sick. This is why this is one of my favorite places.
Amazing service and great gluten free options. Staff goes out of their way to ensure that food is not cross-contaminated. I even had my own server deliver the food. It was a delicious meal and the Wednesday special is a great deal. Will definitely go back.
Chain food is not my favorite, but Outback Steakhouse had tasty food and a positive atmosphere. When you sit down, be sure to tell your server no dinner rolls. I usually won't eat steak, but Outback makes delicious steak. On the side, I ate shrimp and a salad. 4 stars instead of 5 because my steak tasted a little burnt and crispy. Otherwise, Outback was pleasant and enjoyable.
My husband & son are gluten intolerant. We eat here all the time & they have never gotten sick. Gluten free menu has many items. Chicken & ribs combo is my favorite!! The shrimp on the Barbie is great but they changed their sauce that it used to come with which is no longer gluten free, get ranch instead. Great place for lunch or dinner😄
I ate here at 7:30pm - I had the BBQ ribs with no sauce and a plain baked potato - balsamic vinaigrette on the side to dip my ribs.... Currently I am awake at 4:00am, sick, and I know I have another 4 hours or so of this pain. I may not have chosen wisely - but - I chose off their gluten free menu. I'm afraid they may not have safe gluten free practices in their kitchen.
(Could be Celiac friendly, if the kitchen was more cautious) I would have given 5 stars but the kitchen did not pay attention and accidentally dropped an item that was not gluten free under my steak. I had a reaction before I even left the resturant.
I would rate 0 stars if I could! I they have a GF menu but are not educated on GF cooking! I feel like it is even worse when a restaurant has an advertised GF menu and they mess up. It makes me feel like they have at least and idea of what they are doing when they don't! I will never be returning to this outback as they have severely messed up the last two times I have gone! When I went a few days ago, despite ordering off the gluten free menu and triple checking everything with my server, I still got glutened. I've been sick for days and it doesn't seem to be clearing up anytime soon. The time before that the messed up the sides between my order and a friends and the server told me just to switch the sides. Even after I explained to her. For the third time cross contamination she tried to tell me I would be ok. She brought out a new mean as the rest of my party finished eating so I just took it home to my fiancé to eat. So needless to say I will never go back.
I've been eating here for years. While I can get a gluten free meal here, the ckicken and salmon is often overcooked, and steaks often come out undercooked or overcooked (rare does not mean raw, and I mean RAW). The other problem is the new gluten free menu: Items that used to be gluten free (w/modifications are gone) like burgers w/o buns, prime rib w/o ajus, lamb shank w/o sauce. Was it really that hard to leave off items to make them gluten free? We used to eat here once a week. Not anymore. It's not a good value for what we pay for.
I have often eaten at the Outback Steakhouse without incident, but this particular location first brought me my order without the gluten free modifications--I noticed the sauce I was not supposed to have. They brought me the revised meal, and I got sick in the car on the way home. :(
I've gone to this location several times and as long as you politely make it clear to the waitstaff that you can't eat gluten they are very accommodating. Every time my food was brought out they double checked with the chef (without me asking!) that it was the gluten free order, including my brownie sundae which was delicious.
