The flavors and menu were phenomenal. Unfortunately my noodle dish Kyarzan Thoke with chicken tested positive for gluten on my Nima Sensor. I’m sad because I really liked everything about this place but would not feel safe eating here as a celiac.

I had the pleasure of dining at Pa Lian, a Burmese restaurant, yesterday during my lunch break, and it was an experience I will never forget. I discovered the restaurant on the Find Me Gluten-Free app, which praised its flavorful dishes and commitment to safety for those with gluten allergies. With such reassuring reviews, I had no reservations placing an order, and they certainly did not disappoint.
Originally planning to pick up my order and leave, I realized I had time to sit and savor my meal. The host (or perhaps server or owner) graciously took my to-go bag and insisted on plating my food for the full dining experience. While I waited, he kindly brought me a complimentary bowl of chicken bone broth, which was a warm and delightful treat.
The entire visit was nothing short of wonderful, from the delicious and safe gluten-free food to the exceptional service and the inviting atmosphere. I thoroughly enjoyed my meal without any concerns about cross-contamination, and I did not have a reaction afterward.
As someone of Filipino descent, I found their dishes reminiscent of the flavors my late mother used to create, providing a sense of comfort and nostalgia that made the experience even more special. The staff at Pa Lian went above and beyond to make me feel at home and comfortable, and I cannot wait to return with friends and family to share this gem of a restaurant.
Pa Lian is truly deserving of a 5-star review and I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone seeking an unforgettable, heartwarming, and safe gluten-free dining experience.

Found this restaurant on Google and so glad I did. They are very knowledgeable about gluten free. The tea salad and fried chickpea tofu were unique and delicious! Also ordered one of the curried goat dishes and would try any of them again but cant wait to come back and try other dishes. At least half the menu was available to be made gluten free. Definitely one of my new favorite restaurants.
Loved trying Burmese for the first time and glad I was able to! The waiter was very knowledgeable on gluten allergies and they offer many GF options. Enjoyed the fermented green tea salad and mango chicken curry. Will be back!
I was nervous to go here because of my gluten allergy but I enjoy adventurous eating so we decided to try it. We loved it! The waiter asked right away if we had any allergies and seemed familiar with all types and how to avoid them. We had the tofu appetizer made from chickpeas not soy, soup, tea leaf salad and some sort of chicken and mango dish in a curry sauce. Fascinating flavors and not too spicy. We will go back!
