Palette Bistro

The food was amazing - I had the Palette salad and a gluten free margherita pizza. The crust was crispy without being crumbly and the toppings were top notch. Felt totally good after. (Celiac)

Menu had serious inaccuracies (farro salad was marked gluten free at the time). It is clear that they are a gluten lifestyle place that doesn’t know what celiac disease is. Don’t order the pizza.

They DO immediately put baskets of bread on the table with 13 year old balsamic vinegar and grassy luscious olive oil. But the staff was knowledgeable about celiac and helpful. Do NOT trust YELP to communicate your reservations to them, though! They honored the Yelp reservation, but probably only because we lucked out and they had a free table for four. Also, our drinks ($10 each) came without bourbon - two of them. But waitress whisked them away with apologies and returned with appropriately mixed bourbon manhattans? can't remember. Their in-house cocktail of the night. If you get their tasting menu, bear in mind that the entrees are smaller - but OMG is their dessert list worth it. Creme brulee is amazing with real vanilla beans.

Absolutely DELICIOUS!!! Got here at Petoskey restaurant week and got fantastic food at fantastic price! I need GF and husband non GF. We both loved the view right on water and gf friendly and a great couple of menu indicated GF options!!!! Server and all staff also excellent! Give it a try! Olive oil cake GF trout gf great and the squash bisque gf and omg good!!!!
