Went here based on the reviews and a very appealing menu. It seemed like it would be amazing.
They had ceviche tostadas on the gluten free section of the menu. It seemed so promising as they had varying levels of GF identified. The tostadas had crabmeat on them, not identified as imitation crabmeat.
When it arrived, it was clearly imitation crabmeat. I asked if it was imitation or real crabmeat and the server didn’t know and went to ask. He came back and said that it was and I asked to confirm the ingredients. The chef came out and asked what exactly was I looking for. I told him wheat, barley, rye and offered to look at the packaging. He was gone for along time and came back and confirmed yeast extract. While they were all lovely and accommodating, they seemed utterly bewildered.
He agreed to take it back and I had the asada and shrimp taco which were really fantastic.
I highly recommend, but with caution. I spoke to both the chef and the manager and was assured that they would amend the menu.
