Asked the waitress about GF sides and after she checked with the chef she confirmed the mashed potatoes were safe. Then ordered the Parkside burger with a GF bun but I think they fry the bacon - therefore making it not safe. So the waitress and chef clearly don’t understand what GF is. I would either avoid this restaurant or get a plain cheeseburger with nothing on it with a side salad. Very disappointing.

First time going to this new restaurant. I am celiac. I was very thorough in my questions and was told by the waiter he would go talk to the chef to ensure there would be no cross contamination issues. The chef said they would do EVERY precaution necessary to avoid cross contamination. I ordered a burger on gf bun. I even asked about where the burger would be cooked, washing hands/changing gloves etc. I am on day 5 of being sick from this restaurant. With small cross contamination I am usually only sick for about 24 hours. This makes me feel like they either didn’t try or there was something directly gluten in my meal.
