A tale of two restaurants! I usually applaud any restaurant that attempts to accommodate the GF / celiac lifestyle but it is hard for me to recommend this place. The food was kind of good…not great but in my opinion they tried. So why the mixed review? It felt like they regard clients as a “eat and get the hell out” inconvenience. It’s a smallish restaurant and they were full on the Saturday night we were there. We made a reservation which they fulfilled quickly. We had a party of 8 and spent a lot on food and drink and the food was actually pretty good. But as we all know a visit to a restaurant goes beyond just “chowing down”. Unfortunately they don’t agree. Within 10 minutes of getting the bill the waiter told us we need to leave because they needed the table. We spent several hundred dollars on a decent, not great dinner but the experience was diminished by the eat and your done mentality of the management. Next time I am in Napa I think I’ll spend my time and money elsewhere. Again, I appreciate their attentiveness to GF but in the end, if I wanted fast food I would go to Chipotle and save about $500.
