Pearlridge - Uncle's Fish Market & Grill

No Gf menu. Asked waitstaff about the below comment of adding one (my family lives in Oahu and could use it for next time) they had no idea. Most items have soy or hoisin sauce or are fried or are a cream sauce (sensitive to dairy). Told the waitress immediately that I was GF. Waitress was not knowledgeable. Said we can substitute rice for a vegetable if you’d like (lol) I ordered the salmon without sauce or blackened preparations ( didn’t know if the seasoning was GF). Told them I could have the other preparations either. She came back to ask what sauce I wanted on my salmon. Reminded her I could not and just wanted the grilled fillet. The grilled veggies are great that came with. The salmon was dripping in butter. I should have just gotten an entire plate of grilled veggies lol

Had a super knowledgeable server who made the poke bowl and fish tacos gluten free. She went through all the ingredients and clarified with the chef. Moreover, they are coming out with a brand new Gluten free menu with more options since one of the employees is gluten free.

Went there for lunch today and asked the server about gluten free options. Asked about the Poke tower and she went and asked the chef who said they could “make it gluten free”. I then ordered and began eating the poke tower and the server came up and said that some of the ingredients were not gluten free after eating several bites! Also they dared to charge me with a bill for the item that I ordered. I had to talk with the manager several times to figure out the charges on the bill when it was their fault. I will never be going back to that establishment again.
