There are a few items marked that they can be gluten free on their menu. They also have daily specials. Our server checked with the chef to be sure the mixed grill with risotto was gluten free. It was delicious.

The server was great at helping me pick food. I asked about the tacos and she said they would come in a lettuce. So I opted for a salad with shrimp and crabmeat. She informed me that shrimp had been soaked in beer. My husband had great fried oysters with corn fritters and house made chips that were terrific. And of course we enjoyed a dozen oysters on the half shell …..always gluten free! The pdf menu on line indicates which items can be prepared gluten free.

This was a fun meal! Dirty martinis and oysters. Shuck yeah! The gluten free menu no longer exists but the manager came over to tell us they created the menu with gluten intolerance in mind for things that do not go in the fryer. I had raw oysters with their cocktail sauce, but no crackers. I also ate chargrilled oysters and a wedge salad. My family enjoyed gluten containing items like fried oysters and shrimp. We will definitely return here on our next trip to Charleston. 24 hours later and no symptoms.

There's a dedicated gluten free menu. The waitress knew the difference between celiac/allergy and sensitivity, and double checked preparation of all our items (4 dishes) with the kitchen without prompting. Friendly, knowledgeable, super tasty. I'll be back!
