This needs to be taken off the site. Not gluten allergy safe. They have gluten free crust. For people who want to follow a trendy diet. Touched with contaminated gloves, put on contaminated trays, contaminated sauce spread with a contaminated ladle, cut with contaminated knife on a contaminated surface, etc.

As as soon as I ordered a gluten free crust, the server immediately changed gloves and grabbed a different tray for my crust. He ensured the toppings were gluten free as well. When it came out of the oven they used a specialty tray and different cutter dedicated to gluten free. I really liked the crust and will for sure be back!

I have Celiac Disease and I've never gotten sick here. I am very sensitive to gluten and have always watched what they do. I usually ask them to wipe off counters and they use different utensils to cut and place my pizza on. The GM is very knowledgeable. No place is going to be gluten safe unless the whole restaurant is gluten free. You always take a risk! Just he your own advocate!

After a brief chat about their gluten free pizza crust, the gentleman behind the counter asked me if gluten free was an allergy or by choice. When I mentioned celiac, he made sure he used all different utensils (and changed both gloves) The entire staff was very accommodating and understanding. I completely appreciate and will be back.

I have Celiac and my two boys have a gluten sensitivity. We all got the tummy grumbles and bathroom troubles after our visit here despite me asking for fresh sauce and new utensils. Perhaps the cheese or pepperoni was already contaminated by contact? The GF cauliflower crust tastes great! And it’s probably great for folks who don’t have an autoimmune reaction to gluten, but our family can’t risk going here anymore.

I love this place for a quick pizza. They do everything in front of you so you don't have to guess. They use new gloves, special pans, and different cutters.

I have gotten really sick 5 times from this place. They use the same spoons on all products for all pizzas and I had to ask them to change their gloves. Many other times they did it all OK, but I cannot risk it again. I am a high celiac.

terrible ... didn't take any precautions when i requested gluten free crust for my son. i had to remind them to change gloves before opening the crust. My son's stomach was bothering him after eating 2 slices. Won't go back. Allen, TX location needs to train their employees of how to make pizzas for people that request gluten free crust.

Celiac Review: while they did try diligently to ensure no CC with my meal, in a location with free floating flour in the air it is next to impossible to be Celiac Friendly. The Manager even got all my toppings from the back. Unfortunately, when I went to grab the lid for my drink the lid holder had flour.

Unfortunately I did get sick. But I give them 3 stars because they really did try even though they did inform me that it may not be suitable. So anyone who noted this as Celiac Friendly must not truly be a Celiac.

If you are Gluten Intolerant, you may or may not have a reaction. Eat at your own risk.

This was my first time eating gluten free at Pie Five and I have to say I was extremely impressed. The moment I said I wanted the gluten free crust the employee changed her gloves and she was the only one who touched my pizza before it went into the oven. When the employee noticed my pizza coming out of the oven he quickly changed his gloves and got all new utensils and cutting boards. He even put my pizza in a cardboard box. This will definitely be my go to place for pizza!

The previous reviewer is incorrect. They have not quit selling gluten free crust pizzas. They had a fire at one of their facilities where they are made so in the short term are having trouble getting as many gluten free crusts as they need. Ate there today.

Great pizza! They are very careful about avoiding cross contamination. They change gloves, cutting boards, and pizza cutter and make sure both sides of the oven know the pizza is gluten free.

We LOVE Pie Five. The GF pizza crust is $2 extra, but they use special pans, switch gloves, use special cutting boards, etc. You select the toppings & make it like you want it. We are also highly sensitive to Soy, and they have a good Allergen menu online that can direct you. Very responsible establishment.

This should not be recommended for celiacs. There is a huge cross contamination issue because they use their hands and not ladles for toppings and do not change their gloves. Needless to say I had the worst stomach ache afterwards. :(

Ordered gluten free crust and staff took this very seriously. They changed gloves, ingredients, and made sure to use a separate part of the pizza oven. The crust was very thin but didn't have a bad taste. A standard gluten free pizza crust. Overall a good experience and no symptoms! Beware that the alfredo sauce does contain gluten.
