Pier 701 Restaurant & Bar

I went to Pier 701 recently for dinner and ordered the GF penne ala vodka. I made sure the waiter knew I had a gluten allergy. When the food came out (another server brought it over) and I double checked that it was GF which he said it was. About seven minutes later (after I had eaten about a third of the meal), the same waiter that had brought the food out, ran over and told me it was NOT GF and he took my plate back. Our original waiter asked why I sent it back and I told him what happened and he laughed and walked away. They brought me a new plate and assured me it was GF this time (although I was very hesitant to eat it). We didn’t see our actual waiter again until he threw our check on the table. Of course, we found the manager after we had paid and told him of our experience and he apologized and gave us a gift card to come back (which we won’t because I don’t want to chance getting sick and the waiter was terrible). I’m not posting this to gripe, I really just don’t want anyone to get sick!
