I've never had a reaction because of cross contamination, but I had a full blown allergic reaction to the gluten free bagel (wheat allergy here). This might be fine if you're intolerant, but I wouldn't eat here if you have celiacs, an allergy, or are sensitive.
Note, I didn't have a sandwich or anything (I just took away a full bagel), so the cross contamination must happen during baking.

So I hear all of you who are celiac and I'm tremendously sorry that Pio Bagel is not good for you, because they are the best GF bagels I've had yet.
I can have small amounts of cross contamination and not suffer flair ups, so when I want a "real" bagel with cream cheese, this is my go to spot.
They have the proper bagel texture on the outside and inside. Favorite spot so far!

My husband purchased a GF bagel for me. 2 hours later I was admitted to hospital in NYC. Ruined my holiday . I went and spoke to the manager the next day. He said theres a sign saying risk of cross contamination . I said there was no cross contamination- I had obviously been given a normal bagel. He wasn't bothered and tried to offer me another bagel !! He did point out the previous week there had been a similar case.

Bagel was really good but they claim it’s not celiac safe.

This restaurant lists three varieties of gluten-free bagels on their menu. Please do not order them if you have Celiac. My daughter has celiac and was incredibly sick within an hour. The yelp reviews make it sound like they can accommodate a gluten-free diet, but this was a horrible experience.
