As a local to the area, I can dine at Pitkins with assurance that they will take the precautions necessary to avoid cross contamination. They are also willing to adjust the order as necessary to make it gluten free. One of the waitresses has celiac also, so she has made the staff aware of adjustments necessary to avoid cross contamination. Pitkins is a nostalgic restaurant, with a progressive menu!

I've eaten there twice now without issue. Our server the first time had celiac and warned me the fries were not safe. Second time, the server wasn't as knowledgeable but made the effort to find answers to the questions I asked. We visit the area with family and everyone enjoys the food. The Narrows on gf bread was delicious. I tried to recreate it at home, but it just wasn't as good.

The restaurant was very clean, staff was friendly and accommodating. The waitress marked the order as Celiac and said the kitchen would be very careful With prep. I was very happy to find this hem off the beaten path… no tuna from the cooler for this Meal on the road!

Stephanie was our waitress and she has celiac. I got a turkey club and she took the precaution to toast the bread in her personal toaster. Delicious. Found via this app while wandering through the area. Glad I did.

Had a great experience! Our server was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Have a nice sandwich selection can be served on good size GF bread. Rice pudding is also GF and yummy!

It was nice to have options! Most of their sandwiches and burgers can be made with GF bread/bun. My husband had the French Onion Soup (without croutons) and said it was delish! We will definitely go back!

While several items on the menu are off limits to Celiacs, many items can be modified with gluten free bread or rolls. They do not have a dedicated fryer so fries and onion rings are off limits. We choose the gluten free option of potato salad for our meals. They also had Cole slaw and a garden salad. On the kids menu my son had a choice of grilled cheese or a burger. I had a BBQ Rueben on gluten free bread. It was yummy!

Any menu item that includes bread or roll can have a gf substitution! So awesome to have a delicious gourmet style turkey panini or a bacon and egg breakfast sandwich again!!
They now offer gluten free bread and rolls to their menu of home cooked foods
