Pizz'a Chicago

Amazing staff! Really good pizza!

According to a Yelp review the management here changed recently, so if that is true I may have had a different experience than previous reviewers. This is a review based on 1/7/2018.

I called to order pickup, and the person on the phone checked with the kitchen and said that though their gluten-free pizzas are safe, the sauce has a potential for cross-contamination because the ladle has touched flour pizzas. A little weird, but not too big of a deal to order without sauce, so I did that. We got there and the pizza had been made with sauce. They apologized and remade it, though it took a while to communicate what was going on since the main person at the counter was new and a bit confused (it happens).

The pizza was pretty good; the crust was something similar to Udi's I think, but with some kind of herb blend infused for flavor. I don't think I had a reaction, though I can handle a very small amount of CC. This still seems like a good place, and I appreciated their honesty, but make sure you ask questions and convey to the kitchen to take extra precautions if you are sensitive, and I'm not totally sure about celiac.

The best pizza and I didn’t get sick at all! They also have a good gluten free dessert! So happy to find somewhere that I don’t need to be scared of cross contamination!

Nice selection of toppings for GF pizza crust (medium size only). A selection of the meats are GF as well. I gotta admit, I miss the thick crust Chicago pizza but I am thankful to have good tasting pizza without worrying about getting gluted!

I have Celiac disease. This is one of the few places I can order pizza and trust that it will taste great AND I won't have a reaction. The gluten free crust is actually quite good, and there a lot of options to choose from as far as toppings go. We get delivery all the time and have always had a very pleasant, delicious experience with Pizz'a Chicago in Sunnyvale. They even have gluten free desserts, which are just as delicious and safe as their pizza!

The employee I spoke with said they have a separate GF preparation area and take cross contamination very seriously (always good to hear!). We ordered the "fridge" pizza- it was delicious!!!! They also had quick delivery and polite employees ☺

I'm a pizza snob- this may be the best around. Uses the Venice crust - cooked very well with a tasty sauce and a great variety of toppings to choose from.
