Pizzawala's from Curry On Crust

I found this place on the app while my husband and I were visiting Ann Arbor. Unfortunately, I did not have a great experience. The pizza crust was very thin and burnt and I got sick almost immediately. Hoping it was just a fluke because they have great reviews otherwise. But I would be hesitant to go back.

This place is my go to restaurant in Canton. Their tandoori chicken wings are awesome and they have a ton of safe options. You can let them know you have celiac when you call to order or put it in a note online. I called ahead to make sure their practices were good and they assured me that they are safe. I have never gotten sick here!

It is such a pleasure to order pizza from Pizzawala’s. The online order has you indicate if you are ordering gluten free as a preference or because of an allergy, so the pizza for celiacs is safe. My daughter said it’s the best gluten free crust she’s had. Her favorite is the butter chicken pizza, but the standard tomato sauce pizza is just as delicious. It was so nice to be able to order pizza with confidence that everyone was getting something absolutely delicious and safe for GF.

Curry On Crust has now re-branded themselves as Pizzawala's. Anyways I've been to pizzawala's and Pizzawala's is the best pizza place near me. You must try this pizza when in Canton, Michigan :)

UPDATE: Tested the pizza with a nima sensor and it tested positive for gluten. We also tested the wings which are still safe. I no longer recommend ordering the pizza for individuals with celiac disease. Called ahead to ask about preparation and cross contamination. Staff was aware of celiac disease and said they have procedures to avoid cross contact, and that they have many celiac customers. I ordered a gluten free pizza and gluten free wings. My boyfriend who has celiac disease did not get sick and loved being able to order chicken wings safely!
