The tafelspitz is mostly gluten free. If you make the server aware they will adjust the dish to requirements ( there is one sauce that isn’t GF and the bread is replaced if they have any GF in stock (but the dish is quite filling without it)) would recommend if this is something you want to try

This was a truly awful experience from the moment I walked in. From the head manager Adriano to Savas my waiter I experienced rude, condescending behavior. It is a challenge when traveling to find GF options and this place treated me like burden. They repeatedly ignored me, did little to nothing to adjust to needing to eat a GF diet, and told me I had to leave within an hour. Quite ironic to be both told I had to leave within an hour and then be ignored by staff. I would avoid as there are many other, far better places in Vienna.

We were directed to come here by a local bar tender that we met and it did not disappoint. I was apprehensive at first as the menu only had a few items initially that didn’t have gluten. However, our exceptional server walked us through the traditional boiled meat dinner experience they are renowned for and I learned that with a few small tweaks (removing breadcrumb toppings and avoiding two accompaniments) I could enjoy it too. And holy cow the beef broth that you start with is out of the world and all of the sides that I was able to have here incredible. Would recommend this dining experience to anyone headed to Vienna.
