The best gluten free options in North Myrtle Beach Myrtle Beach favorite is the Very Berry Waffle
The gf pancakes were huge and fluffy and the gf Belgian waffle was good as well. We ordered takeout. I was nervous though because there was no way for me to be sure they actually made them gf. Would have been more reassuring if they wrote “gf” on the styrofoam takeout container.

They had gf waffles, pancakes, and toast. Was so good. I am gluten sensitive not celiac.

Ordered GF pancakes. Server wrote GF down, but cooks did not make pancakes GF. Server gave them to us anyways without checking. Half way through meal, owner told us the pancakes were not GF. She corrected the mistake and did not charge us for Gf, but the damage was done at that point.

Our waiter was extremely knowledgeable. I told him I had to have gluten free and he immediately asked if it was for Celiac and said they would use a dedicated space. me and my kids were able to enjoy some delicious chocolate chip pancakes with no problems. Definitely recommend
Yes
Waiter was knowledgeable. He said GFree pancakes, eggs, bacon, hash browns all cooked on a dedicated GFree grill top. I had all of those items as one of the combo breakfast and it was yummy. The pancakes are huge. 1 was enough. I did not use syrup or any toppings. They have GFree waffles but do NOT have a dedicated waffle iron (there seems to be some debate about this in other reviews)
Love there pancakes and the coffee is good here too! Owner has relative with Celiac and very accommodating

Would not go here again. Pancakes under cooked! Didn’t feel well after!
Great food and great service. I got the pancakes and had no problems
Yes
We had eaten here before and it was good and I didn’t get sick. However, this time the owner seated us and I asked if they had a dedicated gf waffle maker. He said that it was fine, he would make sure they cleaned it. I said, “so it’s not a dedicated gf free one?” He then goes on to say that it’s fine, his granddaughter has the same thing I do and she’s fine. I informed him that he has no idea what I have and we left. I can’t support rude people. I felt bad for the waitress, she was very sympathetic and seemed upset with the owner.

Amazing gluten free pancakes and waffles separate area to cook gluten free food
Yes
Great pancakes. Separate pancake griddle. No separate gf waffle maker.
Yes
Great food was so yummy! Our staff member was so helpful and knew her stuff! The pancakes were so good.
I visited the Plantation across from Dinos and they have a dedicated GF waffle machine! I'm very sensitive to gluten and was totally fine today after eating there.
Yes
The only gluten free option is pancakes, and they’re not very good; they’ve got a weird aftertaste. A couple of hours later and I’m feeling really ill. I wouldn’t say they’re safe to eat.
No
Apparently there are multiple plantation pancake houses in this area. Go to the one across from Dinos. I called the wrong one and they said they don't have gf. This one though is so amazing. We had the gf waffles and they were so amazing. They also 2 gf syrup options. Very kind and helpful in finding what works for your dietary needs. I highly recommend eating here if you are anywhere close by.
Yes
The waffle iron is NOT dedicated. The staff is rude and clueless.
A year after the manager promised they would buy a separate gluten free waffle iron I was back this weekend and they had a dedicated waffle iron! Ordered gluten free waffles and they were excellent and I had no issues after eating them. Thank you ! Going back tomorrow for more GF waffles! Rose
Yes
I had the Gf waffle with bananas and pecans and whipped cream!! It was wonderful!! I will be back!! I wish I could post a picture!
Yes
I got pancakes and hash browns and both were very good. They had friendly staff and they knew what they were doing.
The gf pancakes were so fluffy! I was assured that everything would be cooked away from the dreaded gluten and it was. I has eggs, bacon and pancakes with syrup. The syrup was packaged and clearly labeled.

Went because of GF option. I am celiac so asked about prep of pancakes and waffles. They were clear waffles were on shared equipment and pancakes would be cooked separate. Declined waffles as any celiac must. Pancakes were good. I didn't know what syrup contents were so didn't use. I expected an extra charge for GF but it was confusing when charges were extra also for what I didn't think was an add on. (Pineapple and coconut). I understand how they do this now but having the menu be clear on GF would be useful. I would go back. Our server even asked if I was celiac and that's a first where someone actually mentioned this and understood the importance. My breakfast was about $5.00 more than a normal breakfast and that was within expectations. Nice place and I was safe there.
Yes
Pancakes are safe and Taste good. We also ordered eggs, bacon, and sausage links.
I called and asked if their pancakes and waffles are made on shared equipment. I was told they are made separate. When I got to the restaurant and started to order I asked the waitress and was told waffles are made on shared equipment and pancakes are made separately. Fyi
I'm a celiac for 17 years. After reading Joshua's review about getting sick I ordered an omelet but really wanted some gf waffles. Our waitress said the waffles were not made on a dedicated waffle iron. When I left I spoke with the manager about my disappointment and that others will read Joshua's review and will not come to the restaurant. She said she would buy a separate waffle iron just for gluten free waffles so be sure and ask them to use their new dedicated waffle iron! Rose C
The food and service were pretty good. The Gluten Free pancakes and waffles were not fully GF. I was sick within 30 minutes, which is typical for me. Do not eat these if you are Celiac and be careful of cross contamination otherwise. I order a veggie omelet with grits and bacon. My boys, both Gluten sensitive but not Celiac like me, got the pancakes and waffles. I was ok until I ate a couple bites of their food. Both boys also had a reaction.
Please be careful!

I read the other ratings so I expected an added cost. Great GF pancakes some of the best I have had
Absolutely Fantastic!! We had the GF banana & chocolate chip pancakes and the GF waffle! I have never had one better!!!! Great family atmosphere and family run! Definitely go here!!!

Gluten free waffles were delicious!!
great place. we went two days in a row. gf isn't on menu but they have both pancakes and waffles. very happy with both my meals. will come back on next vacation.
My husband and I had breakfast this morning at Plantation and we're not at all impressed. We were welcomed warmly by the hostess but after that the experience was bland at most. I had noticed a few reviews that were not good but I try to use judgment in reading all of them. Gluten free pancakes were not on the menu but I ordered them after I confirmed that they had GF. Our observations: no mention that 3 GF pancakes were $3:00 more, pancakes were not warm (one pat of butter flavored spread brought with meal did not melt at all), had to ask for syrup which the server got from another table. ( The container was sitting in a bowl that had so much syrup in the bottom I thought the bowl was attached), pancakes were average. In addition, my husband had regular blueberry pancakes which were grainy and the blueberries in the pancakes were hard. Since the restaurant has "pancake" in its name it would have been nice to perhaps have been offered a couple of flavored syrups and some melted butter. Service was not poor but robotic. Coffee WAS hot and we were given a pot for the table. That and the greeting were the positives. We expected more. We will not go back.
Yes
staff was friendly and knowledgeable but 2.5hours after leaving the restaurant, my son was throwing up. that means that he was exposed to gluten when he ate their pancakes. Stay away if you are very sensitive!
No
My sister and I are celiacs. We went to this pancake house because they offer gf options. We ordered combo plates with gf waffles instead of the regular. As all gf eaters know, we expect a slight price increase for gf substitutions however the original platter price was 7.95 we ended up paying 16 because "eating gluten free is expensive" as told to us by the owner. She said she has to serve is that price because she only buys "the good stuff." We were never told of the price difference until our check came, where instead of being charged for a platter we were charged individually for all items. We addressed the issue to the owner who claims to have ran into this problem frequently with all gf patrons. She refused to see that the problem was the fact we were never told of the price difference. She was very rude and thought she had "blessed" us by giving a 2 dollar discount. When we were leaving she kept explaining that she understand us being angry and if we can come back again she would "bless" us again. Never ever ever go there. Rude hateful woman who owns the place. Thanks but no thanks.

Absolutely Outstanding!!!! I had the GF Waffles with bananas and whipped cream. It was Amazing!!!! The restaurant was clean and the sea salt hand scrub in the bathroom was an added bonus!!!! Love, Love, loved it!!!
Yes
The Gf pancakes and waffles were amazing and such a treat to have out at a restaurant!! The strawberry sauce on top was a bit too much for us so we would suggest asking for it on the side. It was excellent and very fast service!!! We recommend it!
Yes
I got the gf waffle with strawberries and it was very good! Very moist and full of flavor. Like previous people have said it is not listed on menu to have gluten free but they do if you just tell them. We will definitely come back!
Yes
It was wonderful to be able to eat pancakes that I didn't cook myself. I had the pecan pancakes, they were great! My pancakes came out on a distinctively different plate than the rest of our party. They didn't charge me extra, but that may have been an oversight. Overall, a very positive experience.
Yes
Justin was our server and we had excellent service. He kept me safe-pan fried eggs, Canadian Bacon and grits. The kitchen ended up doing my order twice because someone put toast on my plate, and it was quickly corrected. I walked out of there knowing I had not been 'glutenated'!! Thank you justin!!

Wonderful gluten free waffles and pancakes. Friendly helpful staff. Highly recommend!
Yes
I disagree with any positive comments. I went here because of all the good reviews. First of all their sign says "discount for locals". That's great and all, but I think if you're not a local, they don't care about keeping you happy. They told me when I went to order 3 gluten free pancakes it would be an extra charge of $3. So instead I got 2 gluten free pancakes. They charged an additional $5.25. That's on top of the regular charge. When I asked the cashier if that was correct she said yes and would not change the price. Not to mention the pancakes were not that great.
For anyone with celiacs. They never asked me if it was an allergy. It was served on normal plate with normal silverware. They didn't seam concerned.
I will never go back.
No
As others have noted, there is no gf menu but staff was very accomodating and double-checked when not sure about something. I had the gf waffles with strawberries and whipped cream and they were delicious! I was worried about cross contamination in preparation, but did not have any reaction.
Yes
My first couple of visits to Plantation Pancake House were great! My last few were not. The GF pancakes were done on the outside, but doughy on the inside. The waitress re-ordered them and the the 2nd order was the same. Griddle or Cook? The waitress talked to the owner, overheard owner state how expensive GF pancakes are. No discount, no GF pancakes eaten. Bacon & eggs were good.
Great gluten-free pancakes! Not listed on menu (not sure why...); found out about them via this app. In addition, service is always excellent and staff is friendly and welcoming. We drive about 15 miles to get to Plantation and make it a "must visit" every time we are in the Myrtle Beach area.
Yes
I had a gluten free waffle with strawberries for the first time in almost 3 years! Delicious breakfast.
Yes
Wrong! Pancakes undercooked and peaches for pancakes were straight out of a can. Don't waste your time.
I hadn't eaten pancakes in 4 years due to celiac disease. I ordered one regular and two chocolate chip with whipped cream. They were excellent and our waitress was awesome! Worth every single calorie!!!!
