Had 2 meals at Sol. First was chicken wings which are marked as gf. Second was a grouper sandwich in a gf bun with a side salad. The second meal we had we booked the water tables where you sit in the water and the waiter delivers the food by walking in the water. It was such a romantic spot and was an anniversary dinner so it was perfection. I felt really safe eating here they even brought us our ice cream gf for free to celebrate our anniversary. Really great experience

The staff has been knowledgeable our whole stay. I have celiac and they have taken it very serious. We had some issues at SOL, but they immediately fixed it after talking to the chef. Food is a little pricy, but the staff has been fantastic.

I spoke with the chefs before our arrival via email because my daughter has celiac. We only ate at The Sol restaurant. I spoke with the manager when we arrived. She was knowledgeable and let the chef know we were there. We all enjoyed our meal. My daughter got the Lobster roll on GF bread and did not get sick.

Unsure what celiac means...they repeat it and say ok...and claim the chef knows what it is, but no confidence...plus small plates and expensive ..don’t bother ...been to the keys for years ...here, it’s all about the Benjamin’s

I was so specific with the waiter while explaining that my husband had celiac and would get SICK with exposure. We ordered fish tacos on corn tortillas. They came out with what appeared to be wheat tortillas and I asked again if these were gluten free. He confirmed the were totally gluten free. My husband and I both took bites and asked him to confirm with a manager. After about five minutes and cold food she came back to say we had flour tortillas. Great evening for my husband to recover from the exposure while on vacation.

The pool bar has some knowledgeable ladies that are willing to help. The higher end restaurant not so helpful.
We stayed here for several days and while my kids had some options, it got really boring very quick. They did burgers, baked wings, fries, omelettes, bacon and sausage. I fared better as an adult because I’ll do salads and fish. None of us had any reactions so that is a good thing. But a lot of the staff was not very understanding of what gluten free was. We went to the grocery store to stock the fridge and snacked a lot since there aren’t many GF options on Key Largo either 😕. We loved the resort, but we’re glad to leave after 3 days to have some more food options.
