Review of Poppy & Rye

First off: NOT CELIAC FRIENDLY. That being said, it's a cool bakery, with a nice staff and welcoming atmosphere. My daughters, who eat gluten, enjoyed their sandwiches and desserts and smoothies. The bakery sells "gluten-free" desserts, as in, made with gluten-free ingredients, but since they're baked on-site and stored with the gluten items, cross-contamination is pretty much certain. They do display a sign that states that all gluten-free items are not certified GF, so at least they're up front about it, but I feel like labeling anything gluten-free in such a manner is misleading. Still, a nice place, if not a place someone with Celiac should eat.
