Not the greatest experience here. There was a literal fly in my mashed potatoes… the steak and green beans lacked any flavor at all. The crab dip however was delicious.

Delicious food and plenty of options for my daughter who has celiac disease! We shared the baked blue crab dip (came with corn tortilla chips), the seafood ciopinno, and a filet mignon steak. For dessert, we had the flourless chocolate torte. All of it was so tasty!

The general menu is extensive and it looks fancy, so I was worried we would have to dress up. But the dress code is casual. The servers wear shorts and a golf/polo shirt. They were all super-friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend this place and go back again!

There’s an extensive gluten free menu, and the staff seems to take it very seriously. Also, they have an early dining menu 4:00-5:30 where you can get a lot of great food for a great price. We’ll definitely return next year!

Stopped by Poseidon today for a quick to go snack of gluten free calamari and I have to say that they were absolutely delicious. I have sat down in Poseidon a few times before and it has great service as well as a super beachy atmosphere. Love that they are gluten safe!

We had a fabulous meal at Poseidon tonight. It’s such a luxury to have such a big selection on the GF menu. Dedicated fryer and attentive knowledgeable service made us feel very safe and taken care of. Our group shared fried calamari, fried green tomatoes, frogmore stew, cioppino, steamed clams, and fried shrimp. Everything was fantastic. Wish they would open a restaurant back home in New York.

Ordered off the gluten free dinner menu (pimento cheese dip and crab dip, salads). Staff was very knowledgeable, even had one of the managers come out and warn us that there was no 100% guarantee of non cross contamination because of the shared kitchen. I am a very sensitive Celiac and had no problem eating here. Felt very safe and they notified the staff to take all precautions possible.

Great options from fried to chilled to broiled seafood on separate gf menu. My celiac son was happy to have choices. We shared a gf app of blue crab dip with chips and he had fried flounder, French fries and fruit. Waitress was very accommodating. Food delivered and was called out as gf plate.

I was very pleased that they had a separate gf menu with plenty of choices, but unfortunately the food I got was so bad that I sent it back, which is something I never do. My son sent his back as well so it wasn't just the gf food that was bad that night. I didn't get sick from the few bites I ate so at least it was safe!

Extensive GF menu. Many selections. Waiter very attentive to the allergy. Food was quite good. Had filet minon. Has many seafood selections.

Good food, but felt a little touristy. The service was awesome. We had steamed crab, beet salad, fried calamari, shrimp, and scallops. The seafood was less than fresh tasting but still very nice to have fried food every blue moon (and I had no issues with getting sick after.)

I was pleasantly surprised to find out that Poseidon has a whole separate gluten-free menu. I had the fried flounder and it was so good. I hadn’t had anything breaded in a long time. Fries were delicious.

Wow! What a gf menu! (Felt like it was prior celiac diagnosis!) our waiter HART was so knowledgeable and helpful with our choices. Fried calamari was such a treat and then the Scallops with bacon jam were divine. Crème brûlée for dessert if you save room (we didn’t but appreciate a gf dessert option. When restaurants do cater to us gf-ers so nicely but then don’t have a single gf dessert I’m bummed) anyway we might have to hit this place up again while we are here just because the menu was so expansive. Beautiful location at sunset, indoor and outdoor seating. Huge. Everyone very friendly.

When I made the reservation I put a note that one person has celiac. Without me having to say anything when we got there they gave us a gf menu and the waiter explained all of the ways they are safe. They have their own flower and bread everything on gf menu in chic pea flour. Could also explain how they can modify items to meet gf needs. Felt very safe there. That being said found the food to be just ok considering how much the meal cost.

This was one of the best meals we had on the island. Per the waitress, they have a dedicated fryer so their fried seafood, calamari, and fries can be made gluten free (chicken cannot be since it is premade with wheat). Food was really good and my wheat allergic child did not get sick.

I got a shrimp and fish fried platter with French fries. Dedicated friers. Did not get sick. They do have a disclaimer on their menu that if you are celiac to not eat there because they have wheat in their kitchen and cannot always avoid cross contamination. I am super sensitive and had no issues.

Went back again and got fried fish and scallops this time. We also shared fried calamari with a sauce of peppercini and kalamata olives. All was super yummy. The dinner server was very knowledgeable and said the only fried thing with gluten is the beer batter fish. Everything else has a gf batter!

We had a completely different experience than some of the more recent bad reviews. When I called, they were very confident in their ability to provide celiac safe gluten free food. My daughter is the one with celiac disease, and the kids menu was clearly marked. The burger isn't listed as gluten free only because of the bun, which my daughter wouldn't want anyway. The waitress flagged her order so they would make her fries in the dedicated fryer, and had the kitchen make her burgers in a pan instead of on the grill top. She also warned/reminded me that my appetizer wasn't gluten free when she brought it out so that I wouldn't share it. Overall, we felt very safe eating here and thoroughly enjoyed our meals. The only downsides were that it was very loud and we had a long wait, but we were a party of 15, so that's to be expected.

Overall disappointed after reading the reviews on here. One of their listed GFpreparations for fish includes a side of whipped potatoes, yet they aren’t listed under the GF sides portion of the menu. I’m glad I chose the baked sweet potato. My non-GF friend has the potatoes and thought they tasted boxed, so I wondered if there’s some gluten in an anti-caking agent. The food was fine and the fried green tomatoes were good, but I’d be nervous to eat here again

Poseidon’s has a separate GF menu for lunch and dinner. Husband got the GF fried shrimp and oysters. Said it was the best he had. Our server Kristen was polite, knowledgeable and explained the GF menu. Absolutely love this place. So glad they are catering to those with restrictive diets.

Dedicated fryer! Server very helpful and knowledgeable; but let me repeat, they have a dedicated fryer. My son had fried shrimp. We ate the fried tortilla chips. Food was good. Recommend.

This was our 2nd time coming here. The staff is excellent and knowledable. They Clearly state which dishes are gluten free everytime something was brought to the table.
