They had a separate page for “gluten sensitive” in every menu and it was nice to not have to ask for a separate menu. The staff were knowledgeable on cross contamination. If you want to avoid cross contamination you’d have to get a salad which is a bummer

Edit: I talked to the GM and he is seriously rude. Called me a liar and said the staff didn’t do anything wrong and it’s my fault I have “allergies”.
Please PLEASE do not go here. Frozen chicken that contains gluten (but is advertised as gluten free), frozen vegetables, the big game meats are all covered in compote and you can’t even taste the meat (and I’m sure they’re also frozen). I got extremely sick eating here.

We were REALLY excited to try this restaurant but it was awful!! We went for lunch so it may be better for dinner. They do not have a gluten free menu for lunch but they said they do for dinner but we never saw it. Our server was clueless. She didn’t seem to know what was gluten free and what wasn’t and she was very irritated when we asked her to check on things for us. The fries are not gluten free (they’re breaded) and they do not have a dedicated fryer. They do have gluten free buns. For lunch they have burgers and salads and some of the dressings might be gluten free (this is what our server said). We ordered burgers with gluten free buns and Cole slaw and side salads instead of fries and one of our burgers on a gluten free bun came out covered in fries. It really was a miserable experience and we couldn’t wait to leave.

This has always been our go to breakfast location while visiting keystone. They always had full menu options for us. This year we found out some of their menu options changed limiting what we could get for breakfast. They no longer offer hashbrowns, just breakfast potatoes which are deep fried in a shared fryer. We can still get protein, meat and eggs but no other gf sides are available for breakfast.
The waitress was newer and had to ask alot of questions about what was safe. Prior visits (last 4 plus years), they seemed a lot more knowledgeable with their menu and gluten free options. The food was packed with flavor and more options, which is why we always looked forward to coming here.
Once our food came, it was very bland. No seasoning or flavor. The scrambled eggs tasted like they were powdered eggs, the Buffalo patty and trout were also very bland.. We've always loved coming here daily for our breakfast, unfortunately after our experience today, we will be looking for other options for breakfast.

Quite a few gluten free options available here. My wheat allergic son ended up with a burger on a gluten free bun and a baked potato. Fries are not in a dedicated fryer. Taste was alright but he didn’t have a reaction so that was good.

Had some awesome chicken Alfredo with a side salad and ranch. Very good. No reactions. They have steak, burgers and sandwiches with gf bread, pasta, and a bunch of fairly unique items for gluten free..

They offer a gluten free bun/bread but their au jus has gluten in it, which meant I couldn’t order what I wanted to. However, they had an excellent pear and Asiago salad that I enjoyed. The fries are breaded with flour so those are not gluten free. My server was wonderful knowing what I could and could not have with my allergy.

We have been here a couple times and have been extremely satisfied every time! Food is delicious and service is always great. They have one of the largest GF menus I have seen for not being a dedicated gluten free restaurant. Staff is knowledgeable about being GF. I have had their bbq bacon wrapped shrimp, salads, steaks, seafood alfredo and creme brûlée. I highly recommend stopping this place if you are close to it! Well worth it! I am Celiac and haven’t had any issues.

Great food. Our waitress was Emily and she knew about celiac disease and was very helpful and made sure the kitchen knew about it. Will go back!

We came at lunch and while there aren’t a ton of options I opted for one if the salads. It was good and my companions really enjoyed their “normal” food
This restaurant does everything they can to prevent cross contamination after speaking with their staff. (Outside of having a designated kitchen for it). Their food is fantastic and their options for GF are extensive. The quality is great and options authentic to the area. I would go every meal while staying there because I knew what i was getting would be great!

Many options on the gluten free menu which by the way was on the main menu so I could have the same menu as everyone else. More on the expensive side but great atmosphere and knowledgeable staff.

Had a delicious gluten free pasta dinner here before visiting Mount Rushmore. The waiter said she had a gluten allergy as well so was very comforting and easy to work with. She explained they changed their gloves with every dish to help avoid cross contamination. Additionally, every pasta dish is made separately as they change pans and wash them between. So although it takes longer than other places, it was worth it.

We ate at the Powder House approximately a month ago and had a tremendously pleasant experience. The GF menu items are clearly marked, but I wanted a couple of things that weren't listed. The waitress was great and worked with the kitchen to accommodate my requests. The food and drinks were fantastic and the atmosphere was lovely. We will be returning to the Powder House next time we visit the Hills!
Very large gluten-free menu, with some dinner options available for lunch. Outstanding service and attention to detail makes this a stop from now on when I'm in the Black Hills. Highly recommend!

My family and I ate here during our stay in Keystone. I am the only one with food allergies (epi pen sensitivity to gluten and dairy free) so eating out can be a challenge. They have a nice GF menu, and we started with bacon wrapped shrimp with BBQ sauce. I had a filet and baked potato with a salad. All of our meals were very good. The food was well-prepared and tasted great, but the server was a little sketchy on her knowledge of what items contained gluten and what didn't. ( I am a restaurant manager, so I have pretty high standards when it comes to service, and I found our server a little undertrained.) I stayed with something basic that I was fairly certain I would be safe eating - this combo is a go to for me. No reactions, and I thought the meal was great.

I ate here twice on my stay... Once for dinner and once for breakfast. They did a wonderful job with my steak and baked potato for dinner and steak and eggs for breakfast. I have celiac and am super sensitive as well as dairy free. They helped me navigate the menu and I wasn't sick. It was a wonderful experience and their coffee was delicious too! If I ever come back to the area I will eat here again!

Their menu has a disclaimer that the have a common fryer and shared preparation areas for all foods, even those under the "gluten-sensitive" list. My server did say they cooked the pasta separately, but I stuck with a baked potato, wrapped in foil.

We asked for no cheese on the gluten free pasta. It came with cheese so we sent it back. Then it came back & the pasta was undercooked & we had to send it back again. Then came to find out that there was cheese in the marinara sauce.
