I feel like they had a good vibe they were going for but it was poorly executed and they just expected the customer knows how the restaurant operates. For example, whether or not to seat yourself or where/how to order and where to get water if you want some since they don’t wait on you at your table. After we made it to the counter we start to ask questions about gluten and dairy free the staff is not very knowledgeable on the allergies or modifications and to be honest we’re not the slightest bit friendly about it or willing to ask/check on things. They did not seem to care one bit about our dietary restrictions. My gut was telling me no, but we were very hungry from hiking and after a bit of back and forth they agreed to do a gluten free wrap that was supposed to be prepared on its on plate and not slide down the same line as the other sandwiches and also to leave the condiments off to avoid cross contamination. No allergy or modifications were listed on my receipt. When the food came out they confirmed it was a gluten-free wrap and they had left the condiments off as requested. However, I got very sick after eating here. Probably the worst gluten reaction I’ve had since 2019 when I was given tacos on flour shells at a bar where the lighting was very dark. And there I only had 3 small bites before being certain they’d messed up. This wrap didn’t taste or have texture that was obviously not gluten-free so I ate most of it. But I ended up being glutened be it that the wrap was not gluten free or they just slide the wrap through the assembly line with the none gluten-free or maybe used a knife that had cut gluten bread. Bottom line is I got very sick and the food wasn’t even good. My bf was highly disappointed in his as well. If I’m gonna get glutened I can at least hope the food is good. Overall I would not recommend this place to anyone with any sort of allergy. The staff did not seem to care, they are not knowledgeable on what is in their product, and the food wasn’t good. For that reason I would really recommend to anyone I know unless they were just looking to drink. Overall the restaurant/bar is in a good location, it’s not well lite so great for bar but not for eating, appears kind of dirty, is disorganized, and had little customer care/concern. They did have prepackaged gluten free brownies that were celiac safe but if I wanted that stuff I’d just go to tiptop where they have a decent selection of gluten-free packaged snacks.
