Furthermore, we work when working with flower, we moved to a separate corner of the kitchen, and prep those items hours apart or on separate days from when we prep gluten-free items. Most of the items served on the menu are naturally gluten-free requiring no substitutions.

From the owner

Queen City Bistro is a casual upscale full service dinner restaurant serving Italian and Southern Cuisine with a twist. We also offer a full bar and extensive wine list.

More than that, though, we found that our friends with gluten allergies, or who were vegan, or had egg and dairy allergies constantly found their options eating out were quite limited. They also frequently were quite nervous eating out, and rightfully so. Cooks and servers weren’t being trained properly to handle allergies. Frequently only a handful of people in a restaurant actually knew what all the ingredients were, and servers constantly had to ask the kitchen what a guest with an allergy or multiple allergies could eat.

This information shouldn’t be a secret, It should be both on the menu and part of the training for every employee in an establishment that serves food. Also, with the wide variety of ingredients available to us in the modern world, there is no reason that there shouldn’t be many menu items that someone with a common allergy should be able to eat at a nice restaurant. These thoughts were at the forefront of our mind when we designed the menu at Queen City Bistro.

As always, please let your server know when you order about any and all allergies and we will do our very best to make sure that you have both a safe and delicious meal.
