Their gf waffles are made on the same iron as regular waffles. I was told this by a server the last time I was there. Haven’t tried anything else yet because I was pissed. Originally I was told they had separate irons for each, ate there a few times. Before being diagnosed this was one of my favorite places ever... but now I’m so sensitive I don’t know if I could chance trying something else considering I was misinformed before. Eat at your own risk if you’re a celiac.

Waffles are amazing and really reasonably priced. I've been mainly to the Palatine location and did not get sick. really good cappuccino too. service is fast enough to swing in on a lunch break. Good atmosphere usually with lots of cute elderly couples or families. It's a less pretentious Walker Brothers.
I eat here pretty much every Sunday morning and get their omelette with bacon, american cheese and sometimes avocado. I always LOVE their potatoes. I've never once had a problem eating here and will continue to go back!
The bacon = Heaven.

My server was a little confused at first, but she discussed my situation with her manager and was able to inform me that any skillet without sausage is GF. I got the Big Apple Skillet with a side of GF pancakes. My server made sure everything was cooked on a separate surface from the gluten-containing dishes. The food was delicious and I felt just fine after. Highly recommend!
Do NOT eat there if you are celiac or even just serious about being gluten free. They make their "gluten free waffles" on the same iron as the gluten ones and the same with the pancakes. I asked a bunch of questions and no one from the management to the staff had any idea what gf really meant. Makes me mad to see a restaurant slap gf up on their marquee but have no idea how they are hurting people!!
