I have Celiac and had a good experience. GF items are clearly labeled. I had the seaweed salad and a maki roll.

Great staff! Very knowledgeable of GF. The restaurant only uses gf soy sauce. We had several sushi options and the gf general tso chicken was amazing.

Enjoyed the General Tso’s (gf in its own fryer). Really good. Hostess has celiac so she shared what I could have.

Sushi was delicious! Their soy sauce is gluten free. They don’t mark gluten free on their menu which can be frustrating. I was able to get a California roll with cooked shrimp instead of the crab stick on the menu. The waitress checked with the chef on my questions for gluten free and I have a sesame allergy as well. I was able to get shrimp fried rice - it lacked a bit of flavor. It could have used some of their gluten free at sauce otherwise it just tasted like rice with eggs and peas. It was a huge portion but since it lacked flavor I would just get the sushi next time.

I ordered only sushi. The food and service were very good but I did experience an HP allergic reaction after eating, so there was some cross-contamination.

Had a great meal here with my daughter who is also a celiac. She loved the sushi and miso soup. They did an excellent job from start to finish. Its in a tucked away section of Foxwoods if there is nothing going on at Shrine.

They had a separate gluten free menu. Many options from entrees and sushi. Their soy sauce was gluten free as well.
Celiac aware...last year I tried this restaurant because I saw on a website gluten free...the chef came out and talked to me, I felt confident and it was Amazing... so being confident that I would get the same the next day( as we know when vacationing you tend to eat at what’s safe) we eat there the next night, FYI it’s not cheap there...when I left the next night I could only make it as far as my room before it got bad...I just went back two nights ago and decided to try again..told the waitress that I have celiac and that I had a good and bad experience the last year...it was a Thursday not very busy, she promised I will have a great experience😔not so much first the food was not great..dried chicken and then I was down in bed with belly pains and much more...so please if your celiac and want Chinese food don’t try it here..

I would not rush back. The restaurant itself is cool to see but the food was not good and most likely not safe. The waitress was rude and there was no one above her to speak to about food preparation questions. Sushi is probably the only truly safe item on the menu. The waitress did not understand what cross-contamination meant. There are items on the menu marked GF however most are not options for those who cannot have cross contamination. Although the food did not make me sick, it did not taste that good. Fine for those in my party who are not gf. For the price, service, and food quality I won’t be back for a while.

Manager on duty was not knowledgeable about celiac disease, did not seem to understand the concept of cross contamination. I was worried to eat there and I should have trusted my instincts because I have been glutened. If they say they are celiac friendly, ask a lot of questions before staying there to eat.

Sushi was very good, the general tao's was good but pricy. Not much better than regular take out Chinese food but 3 times the price. However, the portions were big and it's a nice treat.
