Referred to look at gluten free online, really?. Site does not display correctly on phones so we had look at third party site. Determined the only thing safe was fries and a salad. Definitely not "gluten friendly".
Only ate here once so far. We didn't get sick. They trimmed the burger down to fit the gf bun, so mine looked tiny compared to everyone else's. It was very good. I would just tell your server to keep the meat normal sized.
They had a great selection! Even showed what could be modified for each item to make it gluten free! I love that they have gluten free buns too.
Referring us to an on-line app is a little impersonal. Would rather have been given an iPad as others have referenced. Initially selected just gluten on the allergen menu and then added wheat and the results changed. Does Red Robin understand gluten is in wheat? Our server could not answer questions on food prep. We ended up not ordering because we weren't confident she wouldn't be contaminated.
I'm harsher on my opinion since I'm also soy intolerant. I could have a plain burger patty with ketchup, mustard & bacon. They forgot my toppings. Never offered a gf bun. The manager was very friendly & tried to help, but between the gluten & soy I was very limited in my selections. Probably won't go back. $11 for 2 burger pattys, small bowl of fruit salad & a small bowl of coleslaw. Bummed!!
Excellent burger. The gluten free menu is detailed and even says the American cheese has gluten . I had bacon and Swiss with lettuce wedge bun. Sweet potato fries were gluten free too. Staff knowledgeable and double checked things too. Manager was friendly and helpful.
Great food unless they overheat the bun! Great knowledgable service, love the dedicated fryer for the fries.
Love the burgers on gf buns and fries made in dedicated fryer!
My first time in Red Robin. I looked at the GF menu and saw burgers with "no bum" listed. Bummer, since I was looking forward to a normal burger. However, upon asking, I learned that they *do* have GF buns, and a dedicated GF fryer. It's a burger and fries for me today, just like a normal person! The service was prompt and courteous. The burger was great, and I was so happy to have French fries, I ordered a free refill. Awesome.
Great burger with a great gluten free bun. Yum!
Great gluten free menu!
Been here a million times and have never gotten sick. Love the grilled chicken sandwich and their Yukon chips.
We have visited this particular location on several occasions. We like the gluten free bun options. I was initially put off that the on-table games automatically charged to the bill, but the staff was accommodating in removing charges. And subsequently, the kids love the at table games. Food is always prepared as ordered, tasty, without complaints. Service can vary, but we have lucked out with several very accommodating, friendly servers. Every visit, the manager has stopped by the table to see if our experience was as desired. Good fare, good service, we have enjoyed.
The server and kitchen were not knowledgeable about celiac. The menu is what it is and cannot be changed. Their solution or attempt to offer gluten free is to omit food items. This chain is basically a heat and serve for all hot food or open packet and serve for salads. Their gluten free bun is a dried hockey puck and not edible. I had a terrible reaction and am certain that the previous ratings are false!
I eat here monthly with a couple girlfriends of mine. They offer GF buns and a dedicated fryer. I have had seasoned fries brought to me, by mistake, but if you are dilligent (and you should be as a Celiac), then you shouldn't get contaminated. I never have, here! If the servers were a TAD more careful in making sure what is brought to the table I would've given 5 stars!
The staff here is super nice and understanding. I was very iffy going into a chain restaurant and expected them to mess up my order or be out of gf buns but they were very accommodating and my burger was delicious. I've been there three times at two locations and had good experiences at both.
Had a great experience at this location. The server was super nice and sensitive to my food restrictions besides GF ( dairy and low FODMAP). He took his time to talk to me and to make sure he got the order right. He sent an allergy alert to the kitchen and talked to his general manager to double check no cross contamination. Defiantly coming here again next time we are on a road trip around this area. I got a simple burger and fries without the seasonings.
In the past year I've been to this Red Robin 4 times. The first two visits I would have easily rated this location with five stars. Unfortunately, the two most recent visits have proved the staff either doesn't understand cross contamination or doesn't take it seriously. My visits last month, I got glutened and shook it off as cross contamination as I ordered a burger that I hadn't had previously. Today, I ordered the California chicken wrap that I had eaten safety the first two times I visited. I asked the waitress twice if the fry vat was dedicated and both times she verified that nothing breaded goes into the dedicated fryer. I was told my food would be prepared in a dedicated food allergy area in their kitchen. My food was brought out on a platter on its dedicated plate along with three other meals sandwiched around it. I ate half of my fries in excitement that I was eating gluten free fries! Then what should I behold in the bottom of the container, a breaded jalapeño. The waitress and manager again stated my food was prepared in their allergy safe area. They have no idea how that jalapeño got in my fries, because they were prepared in a dedicated fryer. The manager offered to have a new meal prepared for me. Pointless, as I have to deal with the consequence for the next week. They did give me my meal for free.
I have Celiac and I eat out couple times every month and although Red Robin has not been perfect in their orders they have made some mistakes, but they have always given me the next meal for free and is never ever messed up with gluten. I believe I've gotten gluten from every single other so-called gluten free restaurant in town Red Robin is Probably the safest place in town
I asked of the waitress could tell me which burgers were gluten free because I knew I could get a gluten free bun. She seemed very irritated and said they can't help with allergies and walked away and came back with an iPad that she threw on the table and said I'd have to figure it out myself. The burger meat was pretty gross, won't be going back.
Our server was very helpful and understanding of my allergy. Their gluten-free menu is only available online, so he brought over a tablet with their "Customizer Hub". It was so easy to use and he left it with us so I could check any other items we were considering. My burger was great (gluten-free bun was just ok, but at least I didn't have to eat a lettuce-wrapped burger!) and their fries are always so good! No reaction at all.
It was so nice to be able to go and have a sandwich with a bun! I had the chicken barbecue sandwich (not sure of the proper name). It had cheese and a barbecue sauce. The French fries are made in separate fryer. It was really good and I didn't get sick! This will be a new regular stop for me.
If I could give this location zero stars I would. I've been here twice now and both times have gotten sick even though they assured me what I was ordering was gluten free. Absolutely horrible service when it came to being allergy sensitive, to the point that even my friends who were with me who were not gluten free began laughing uncontrollably after the server would walk away because the things they said were so ridiculous! For example when I asked if the fries that he had just brought out were the gf ones they said they would make me, he responded, "um, it has salt." And walked away like he had no doubt that was answer enough. Excuse me, do you have any idea what gluten is? Because salt has not a thing to do with it. And if it tells you something about whether it's the gf version or not, please share that info, thanks. Absolutely crazy that they would find the things they did to be any level of customer service. I will NEVER eat at any red robin location again after these two experiences at this location. Do yourself a big favor and don't go here.
I asked for a burger on a gluten-free bun, which prompted the server to ask if I had an allergy. I told her I have Celiac. When she brought the food, she said, "I'm sorry it took a while, we were waiting for the gluten-free fries." I was happy that they took my situation very seriously. The burger and fries were delicious!
I ordered a gluten free burger and they brought it to the table with a regular bun! Thank goodness I was suspicious and flagged down someone. They took it back and the manager swore they made a completely fresh one. Side items were limited - I had fruit salad, which was delicious. I also had a raspberry limeade. They brought me a refill and it was cherry, which WASNT on the GF menu. I got really sick that night and it's hard to know which thing was the culprit, but I definitely won't be going back and beg my celiac friends to steer clear!
This restaurant was supposed to be celiac-friendly but after eating a burger in a lettuce wrap and bottomless fries withOuT seasoning he became very ill. Do NOT recommend.
Awesome GF buns! Also Unlimited GF fries!
This used to be safe, but they seem far less knowledgeable now. You have to get on your phone and go to their app or they have a iPad to view the GF options - however I got glutened last night. Feeling miserable today. Had a burger in a lettuce wrap and some hummus and veggies so I assume it was cross contamination.
so happy with service! my boy got to finally enjoy gf fries and bun! and they were so aware of cross contamination worries!
Fries and pink lemonade are amazing. I prefer my burger wrapped in lettuce than with the gf bun it was okay but not great but I'm fine with that gives me more room for fries. Last time I was at this location my order ended up being free due to my burger coming 3 minutes later than the rest of my table which I really didn't mind at all. Great service.
i love red robin! I've never had a problem here. it's one of my 3 go to places to eat since being diagnosed celiac. as with any place, always make sure your remind them you are celiac/gluten free when ordering anything...you're entrée, ff refill or dessert. the servers are only human afterall. separate kitchen area for gf and separate fryer for GF french fries.
On a very busy Saturday night, our son's GF burger and fries was served separately by the manager. The staff take the allergy serious and concern. I was impressed. We had a great night!
Server put in the system that there was a person in my party with celiac. The chefs obviously did not care. Within the fries (which can are supposed to be cooked in a separate frier) was an onion ring. Onion rings are not gluten free. The wait staff and management apologized, but did not seem to understand what celiac was nor the reactions. We educated them, thoroughly. Would not recommend this restaurant.
