They told me to look up the gluten free menu on my phone because they no longer had a paper menu. The bun wasn't great and crumbled apart. The chicken in the sandwich was cold and bland. I had previously had a great experience at the Red Robin in Danbury, but not here. It was a busy night, but I still will not go back.
Hamburger buns are great and they even offer gf fries done separately
Gluten free buns and other options. Great for a chain!
I went to Red Robin based on the reviews I read here regarding a gluten free menu. I'm very pleased that I was able to have a gluten free burger, bun and fries and didn't get sick. I did ask for a gluten free menu and was told by the hostess I had to use my smart phone to look at their dining menu while I was sitting in their restaurant. I was also told they had IPad's but they preferred customers use their phones. They also served me a burger and fries that did contain gluten but picked it back up off the table realizing they handed me a burger and fries that did contain gluten and started the order over. The server who assisted me was very nice, tried to be helpful, got out an I Pad to show me a menu. I'd just encourage folks who do decide to eat there who have Celiac or a gluten sensitivity to be very careful. If they didn't catch the error in serving me the wrong food, I'd of course have been glutened. I'd also say that if you are at a restaurant that has a dedicated menu available, have it in the restaurant. Not every one has a smart phone available nor should anyone have to access the Internet for the menu while in house dining. I'd love to have a go to place since its in our area. Really hope they continue providing a gluten free option because it's very needed. Only 4 stars because of how we were treated by the hostess regarding needs. Some of the staff really tried however to serve, do it well and safely.
The GF bun was delicious. I asked the server if any of the sauces were GF and he didn't know and didn't offer to ask. I googled the chipolte sauce and it said it was. Was still Glutened. I imagine it was from cross contamination.
They can pretty much make any burger gf and they have a dedicated fryer. I've been there several times with no issues at all. In my experience the servers are not very knowledgeable but the chefs are. The bun I got was soggy so I just order without a bun.
Best GF bun I've had, sometimes I get my burger wrapped in lettuce instead. The fries are supposed to be in their own frier, but my GF friend has issues when she eats them so I usually don't eat them. Spinach and artichoke dip appetizer can be eaten with their Yukon chips, very good.
Best Gluten-free bun/bread I have ever had! And our server was fairly knowledgeable about gluten in their food! I checked out the website beforehand to see their allergen info, and it was really easy to navigate. My only issue was that I had to go back and forth between two browsers- one for allergy info, one for menu info.
AMAZING! No would have never thought they had so many options! I was able to get a Hamburger! I haven't had one in forever with a bun. Their Yukon chips are to die for. My waitress was extremely knowledgeable. The sweet potato fries are a must and my server knew to ask for no seasoning on the fries. As always bottomless fries and me and my boyfriend found that root beer floats are bottomless too! What a game changer! Reasonable prices. Great atmosphere. Can go with friends and family. A must try!
Gluten and wheat are treated separately by their menu. menu has mixed messages about the actual gluten free-ness of items. some wait staff have poor understanding of what contains gluten. manager wasn't sure and was going to check labels. yikes. the people are excellent, however in my view the corporation isn't helping them out with clear information I've eaten at Red Robins around the country but it seems it's been luck of the draw. they do have a GF bun the rest is unclear
we went recently because they advertised gluten free burger buns. they were amazing. you will need to use your smart phone to access their gf menu. the server was friendly and helpful. so happy to actually eat a real bacon cheeseburger with bun. wow! we will be back.
Great gluten free hamburgers.
Great service and food. Told the server that our daughter has celiacs and the mgr came over and explained their process. Even explained that they use a SEPARATE fryer for the fries. My daughter said it was the best GF bun she's had. We will be going back for sure.
I've never been to a Red Robin before and I was pleasantly surprised. The GF menu is great! Our server warned that even though some of the condiments were listed on the GF menu to stay away from them because she could not guarantee they had not been contaminated in the kitchen. The manager even came over and apologized. He assured us that the food itself is prepared in a separate area along with most of the garnishments, but unfortunately there were a few they did not keep separate. It was great. I have subsequently eaten another location and had a similarly pleasant experience.
I like the iPad type menu as it allows you easy access to narrow down options when you have more than one restriction. Manager in charge checked in to confirm that we had no problems ordering and also once the order arrived. Quality of food is marginal.
Arrived at 11 at a Sunday and they seated us by the bar, blasting sports broadcasting. I asked for a gf menu and they handed me a dirty, sticky tablet that was on the red robin allergen page. It was difficult to navigate the site and I had to cross reference the regular paper menu just to get an idea of what was included on the gf options. The place is a little grimy but thee staff were very patient and tried their best to explain everything. We waited 30 minutes for our food, it arrived cold, and I've felt nauseous since.
Red Robin has stepped up in this location. The menu is pretty extensive and the options are pretty easy to swap out. Their gluten free menu is electronic and, unlike so many other gluten free menus in the area, it will tell you exactly what you're getting. You can pick beteen a bun and lettuce wrap and they even have a dedicated gluten free fryer for the fries. I've never gotten sick there. Quite impressive for a burger joint.
I can say that between the location at home in Wisconsin and this location, Red Robin has really stepped up its game for gluten allergies. The manager on shift oversaw my food preparations and rejected my fry quality because there was a chance they got seasoned. He made the kitchen make me a new batch of fries. Let me tell you, totally worh the wait. Their gluten free bun is delicious. I definitely recommend Red Robin if you love burgers and fries!
We usually love Red Robin because it does so well with my daughter's gluten free diet. However, we went a few nights ago and after a few bites of her supposedly g-free fries, she realized there was seasoning salt on them, which is NOT gluten free. Management was very apologetic, but the damage was done. So as usual, even at restaurants that are usually very good, you have to be very careful.
Large selection of GF items. Service and food was great. GF French fries and buns.
I love red robin!!! and the servers always listen and understand my situation. my last server even mentioned that the campfire sauce which is not on the menu but it does contain gluten :( bummer! cause it was the best Fri sauce! but I was very happy he took the time to tell me.
Great burgers/buns, fries & milkshakes.... what more could you want? Yum!
Red Robin's gluten-free burger is fantastic. I also like the fact that they fry their fries in a separate fryer than that of the others (ask for gluten free fries, or gluten free sweet potato fries). They also have a gluten free mayonnaise, ketchup, as well as some other condiments.
Dedicated fryer for fries. GF buns for burgers. We go here or Chino Red Robin at least once a week. The managers will serve you personally if you let the servers know your GF needs. Love it!
Dedicated fryer for fries. GF buns for burgers. We go here or Rancho Cucamonga Red Robin at least once a week. The managers will serve you personally if you let the servers know your GF needs. Love it!
My husband and I had amazing service here. The second I mentioned my celiac our waitress went into action letting me know their procedures to keep cross contamination from happening. Their gf buns are amazing and I like that they have bottomless salad instead of fries as an option for no additional charge. I've been mostly gf for over two years, but I've only had my diagnosis for a week. Doing no CC is an adjustment and I am glad I've found a place that is so accommodating!
The only place in the area I have found so far where you can get a burger with a gluten free bun. They are very careful in preparing the food. They also have an app to help you customize your meal based on the allergens you need to avoid. This is extremely helpful.
Having celiac, what a pleasant surprise to find a great burger and fries place....the GF bun is made locally so it was fresh and delicious. Dedicated fryer for fries, "allergen alert" followed my order all the way through including on the printed receipt. Staff was knowledgeable, informed and made suggestions. Will definitely be back. Recently moved here so we were looking for a great burger place. My husband's choices on the regular menu were plentiful and food great.
