Red Robin is typically reliable and safe. They have a dedicated fryer for fries and my original server seemed to know GF well enough. The server who brought out my fries didn't bring ranch because she claimed it was not G, said the manager said it wasn't. I'd checked the online allergen menu and it said it was. Other servers said the ranch was GF. The server who said it wasn't went back and asked the manager and when pressed he apparently admitted he really didn't have a clue and didn't know why he thought it wasn't GF. I did something stupid and tasted it - it was Red Robin ranch, which is GF. I ate it - and I ate a lot of it - and I was totally fine. Not a risk I'd normally take, but it seemed like their manager was confused.
So, yeah, not the most reassuring experience...
