I’ve had 50 gelatis since March 1, 2019. They have come from locations all over New Jersey, Delaware, Texas, and Pennsylvania. I have never gotten sick from eating Rita’s. Most of the ices are GF, except for the obvious Oreo cookies n cream, fudge brownie, and a few other cream ices (with brownie or cookie in their titles). The safest options for Celiacs are regular ices and gelatis (custard and ice), as they do not come in contact with any of the machines that would cause XC. Rita’s is a franchise, so even though almost every location around the country has a different owner, there are rules and regulations that they all must follow. Therefore, all stores should be Celiac friendly. If you have any concerns, ask to speak with a manager OR go to RitasIce.com for an allergen chart.
