Good food, menu is marked and the staff paid close attention to ensuring my food was safe. We came here for lunch and had the roasted wings, a Turkey burger on a GF bun and a side caesar salad. It was all delicious! Not a ton of options and they don’t have a dedicated fryer, but for a bar/tavern and menu alike having more options than just a salad was great!!

not many options, was very sad to find out that even the fries aren’t gf :( I ended up going with the boneless ribs (usually wouldn’t go for the pricey dish but there wasn’t much to choose from) and it was very yummy. taste was great, but could do way better in terms of being allergen-friendly

Great options and knowledgeable server! Too bad the kitchen gave me the wrong bun… a runner took the order out to us, and my server noticed immediately when he came to check on us. He told me right away. He was very concerned and asked if I needed anything. Luckily, I’m not celiac. But I am now at home sick and in pain on our anniversary night…
they took $5 off my order for the trouble, but I’m now taking $20 worth of OTC medication and an as needed prescription to try and counteract. So even ignoring the trouble, that doesn’t really compensate. It must’ve been the most my server could take off, cause he was so apologetic about the situation and asked me if I was going to be okay more than once.
Note: it is busy and tourist season. Staff very well may be overwhelmed. And my server was so great. It was the kitchen staff 100%. Mot a good experience, but I’m not sure if it was a fluke or not.
I’d say that this spot is not celiac friendly. And if you do risk it, check with the staff multiple times to ensure your food is truly gluten free. Maybe ask more than one staff member if the runner is dismissive or in a rush…
Constructive crit: I wish they had a gf flag for allergen friendly foods…
TIPS:
- gluten free burger bun is very small. If your burger bun is large, you likely have the wrong order
- my server informed me that the FRIES are FLOUR coated before frying. They’re not just unmarked due to cross contamination

We got the flatbread which all come gluten free and when I told the waitress that we had an allergy she immediately said she would make sure the breaded Buffalo chicken was swapped for grilled. My boyfriend hasn’t felt sick at all so no cross contamination. Great spot to stop while exploring Salem!

Items clearly marked, bread for burgers and sandwiches and gluten free crust for pizza. Fryer is not dedicated for gluten free. I came here for lunch and had the turkey club and a side salad, it was excellent.
