Rockfish Harbor Grill

We went here on a weekend trip to Monterey. The menu has their gluten free options marked on the menu and our server was knowledgeable too. The restaurant has lots of windows so you can watch the wildlife in the harbor.

Rockfish Harbor Grill is on the end of Fisherman's Wharf with beautiful views of the marina and bay. Most importantly it has a menu specifically highlighting their gf options which are many and varied. We shared their wedge salad and I had the seafood trio both were delicious. My husband had the non gf Sand Dab meal which he said was great. I splurged on the creme brulee which was also lovely. Just the fact that they had a dedicated menu made me feel more confidant eating here. The waiter was also knowledgeable and the service was good. Too bad it's our last day here, I'd come back for a steak dinner. This was a better value and experience compared to the Fish Hopper. I recommend it.

Our server was super nice but didn’t seem to know much about gluten or celiac. He was worried about the mashed potatoes having cream, and the sauce that came with my dish contained gluten so they put it on a ramekin dish on the plate instead of on the fish. The fish was marked gf on the menu. We didn’t get sick, but our food was just okay and not cheap. The view here is fantastic and all of the employees seemed very nice!

Very accommodating and knowledgeable. Several GF options. Great food. Had the shrimp scampi. Subbed extra veggies for the rice pilaf. Great find!

Could not say anything more great about this place. We had an AMAZING server who was knowledgeable about gluten and directed me towards the great gluten free menu. I had the Dungenes Crab and it was such a yummy experience I’ve never had before, and with no reaction. Everyone else’s food at my table looked amazing as well! I was worried about finding a restaurant with gluten free (and safe) options and this was 10/10. I would definitely go back for more!
