I had such high hopes. Since they have a gluten free menu.
I asked for GF menu. Ordered from GF MENU. Received FLOUR tortillas! Then when I brought it to servers attention her response “yes, they make them fresh everyday.”. Ummmm, I ordered from GF menu. She apologized and sent it back. When it came out again, it looked like they opened a bag of white corn tortillas and threw them on plate.
Be AWARE….

The were happy to give us a gluten free menu…we asked the waitress a couple of questions she told us that everything is fried separate and the waitress asked the cook to make sure. My boyfriend said the food was good and he didn’t have any problems.

Be sure to double check your food. Mine was supposed to be gluten free and they accidentally used flour tortillas instead of corn. They happily remade it with corn tho.
I decided to give this a shot since it’s so close to the beach. The food was disappointing, but the service was friendly but not ver knowledgeable about celiac disease. I arrived and asked for a gf menu and sat down. I told the server I must eat gf because I have CD. After reviewing the menu, I couldn’t decide which taco I should have, so I asked the waitress for her recommendation. She advised they can make any taco gf but depending on how sensitive I am to gluten I should be weary of the fried items. Honestly, I don’t blame the server. I blame people who claim to eat gf and then say, “well, I can have a little bit.” Which of course causes confusion. Overall, I would not eat here again. Even if I wasn’t gf. While the beach access and views were nice, it wasn’t worth it. Next time I’m in town, I’m going back to the Back Porch.

Was given the GF menu and the server was very helpful. Server double and triple checked and confirmed that for the chips and salsa that the chips were all in a separate flyer.

Very disappointing! We were seated, and for 10 minutes watched as several servers passed our table, never making eye contact or speaking to us. When a group was seated 2 tables from us and were immediately given chips and salsa, we left.

Tacos were delicious! Best tacos ever! The house margarita was really good too. My four year old got a chicken taco with corn tortilla and she loved it. I ordered the slow cooked pork tacos and it was the BEST taco!

No gluten free fryer. It states on the gluten free menu and waiters state everything is fried in the same fryer.

Portions were large for me and the food too salty (likely to encourage the buying of drinks), but other than that the meal was good enough. Plenty of options.
The view was amazing, the service was good.

I did not ask too many questions, simply ordered off GF menu. The chips and salsa were very good, the tacos were okay. 5 stars because I am writing this the next day and feel perfectly fine. I’d go again though. My daughter who also has celiac disease had beans and cheese quesadillas on corn tortillas. She is also fine today. The waitress seemed knowledgeable, and mentioned several times that she wanted us to not have stomachaches. My daughter’s quesadillas first came with flour tortillas, and she didn’t even set them on the table. She went and had them remade without is having to even mention it.
Pretty standard Tex-Mex. 5 stars for excellent cocktails, great beach view, and ocean front kids playground.
