The GF salmon salad tested positive on my Nima Sensor for gluten the first time, but when they remade it, with no seasoning and cooked on aluminum foil, it tested gluten free. Staff was helpful and eager to learn

Stopped here for lunch during a road trip, based on an earlier review that says they have a "great" GF menu. They don't. The entire GF menu includes a couple of apps and a few salads. And that's it. No entrees. No burgers. Nada. And since they don't have a dedicated fryer, for anyone concerned about cross contamination, that means salads only. It doesn't matter how good they might be, a handful of salads doesn't make a great GF menu. I can get a salad from a non-dedicated kitchen at any restaurant in America. This place doesn't belong on this app. They do have one kind of cider though. And what I did eat was OK, so they get 2 stars instead of one.

Prior to going to ROC's Firehouse Grille I called to confirm they indeed had a GF menu and that there staff were properly trained. I was told they were and the individual I talked to seemed knowledgeable. Upon arrival I asked the waiter about the GF chips listed on the menu and if they were in their own fryer. I was told they did not have cross contamination but upon further discussion they use the same fryer for all their chips and breaded items. Against my better judgment my family and I ordered from the GF menu. The food was good quality and tasted pretty good, however, the two of us who have gluten issues (I'm celiac and my daughter is gluten sensitive) were not feeling good afterwards. Overall, the food is good quality, but the staff and the kitchen are not trained or just do not properly prepare GF food. I would not recommend this restaurant to any celiac.
