The waitress was very well informed. The hostess was not. I can see where this place could be good or bad based on which staff member you encounter. Menu is not marked, but the waitress was able to easily navigate it with me. Gluten free soy sauce available. Bill came marked with all my items specially noted as gluten allergy.

I have extremely sensitive celiac so I actually never eat out or eat any products that are not made in dedicated facility because I typically will get sick. I saw the reviews here and was nervous but my boyfriend wanted sushi for graduation. I emailed Ronin to get some information from them on how they handle things. I went and ate with my friend as a test run and we sat at the bar. Obviously the bar tender isn’t that informed but a waitress helped me. She was knowledgeable and I felt comfortable eating. When we left my tummy hurt a little bit but after some ginger turmeric tea it was all better. I then went a second time with the group and the waitress was amazing and I felt even more comfortable eating this time. I got no tummy pain and no sickness at all! This is insane to me because like I said I can not eat out unless it’s dedicated gluten free. I think the trick is getting the right waitress or manager if your person doesn’t seem serious about it ask for someone else or the manager because everyone I interacted with was very helpful and took it very seriously.
In the email they told me if you tell them about the allergy they wipe down the counter and all knifes and are extra careful of keeping things separate. The waitress even said she’d make sure my order came out on a separate plate to make sure nothing was touching. On my receipt it was even labeled that The food was under a gluten allergy.
They have gluten free soy sauce and I ordered Philadelphia rolls and different types of nigiri as well as some peanut butter Ice cream ! There is no gluten free menu but they will help you with what you can eat also it’s easy to tell by the selections what’s gluten free just off of basic knowledge and then ask any questions just to make sure. If you go the their website and press order online their online menu labels what to change to make gluten free on their sushi it’s really helpful!

Before my gluten allergies I loved this place. But tonight my server just didn’t know what had or not gluten and didn’t seem to care in bringing someone to guide me through the menu. She simply said that they can make modifications if possible and walked away. What I ordered got canceled as she later found out couldn’t be accommodated. Also, took her a while to bring me gluten free soy sauce while everyone else had their food and I set back watching.
The least she could do is point out maybe 3 dishes she KNOWS (clearly not educated) I could have. I am sure the owners wouldn’t mind selling me dishes, but the server didn’t even try.
I had to have chicken and rice and a California roll. None of the appetizers were recommended or anything else.
Made me feel like I should never waste my time again.
Their food is always amazing, however after eating there tonight..I got sick almost 30 minutes later. They said that the sushi was gluten free that I had gottenand said they gave me GF soy sauce and said their spicy mayo was gluten free.. but I read a comment on here that said they spicy mayo wasn’t GF..and that was on almost all of my sushi..so I’m thinking that the spicy mayo is NOT gluten free and I wouldn’t even test it
One of my favorite places. Almost all of their sushi is gluten free while still maintaining the taste of traditional sushi. They also offer a gluten free soy sauce.
The gluten free sushi list is quite long, but for those who don't eat sushi it is a limited amount. The chicken lettuce cups were good, but not to die for. However, the flourless chocolate cake was awesome!
Best sushi in metro Detroit. Ask for their gluten free menu, would definitely recommend the pink blossom roll.
They have a gluten free menu and the majority of the sushi is gluten free. Only complaint is that that the spicy mayo is not gf. Server was knowledgeable and helpful. Other items on menu are gluten free as well. We enjoyed chicken lettuce wraps as an appetizer.
