Cute place for breakfast. Most of the menu can be made gluten free and the GF pancakes were the fluffiest I’ve ever had!
Yes
We ate dinner here and enjoyed it so much that we came back for breakfast. Most everything on the menu can be made gluten free so there is a huge selection of good things to eat. The crab cakes and clam chowder were excellent as were the lemon ricotta pancakes. I wish we were going to be here another day so we could eat here again!
Excellent experience. I had adelicious eggs Benedict this morning, and then came back for an an amazing dinner of the most incredible dried calimari for an appetizer, followed be pan seared scallops and risotto. No room for dessert. Definitely a dedicated fryer. Planning breakfast tomorrow befoe heafing hime. The Roost made my weekend!
Yes
The best brunch ever!!! I’ve had two different Benedict’s on the menu and they were both incredible. A cute little restaurant with incredible food. The menu has gf designations on it so no need for a separate menu.
Excellent food, no cross contamination. Beautiful place with parking! Had the GF French toast, it was so delicious.
Yes
Well marked menu. GF muffins made on premises. Excellent coffee. Pricey, bit yummy.
Very nice atmosphere and waitress was very sweet. My wife and I arrived at 8:15am and were the only ones in the restaurant. Red flag. GF blueberry pancakes were horrible. They were about an inch thick and bone dry. Very few blueberries.
Quite a few gluten free options which I really appreciate, especially in this area. I decided on the blueberry pancakes after reading other positive reviews. I was not that impressed with the pancakes but the home fries were awesome. Nothing was wrong with the pancakes but they weren’t anything amazing in my opinion. I didn’t get sick so that’s a major plus. I’m definitely going back but I’ll try something else next time. Also, a little pricey for breakfast!

The gluten-free blueberry muffin was terrible here. And the bacon was forgotten with no concession made on our bill for that...
Yes
Such a cute and cozy setting, we enjoyed 2 meals here, breakfast and dinner. Dinner was delicious, had seared scallops and good wine selection too. Staff was so kind , great service overall, really understood cross contamination. Good breakfast options as well. Can't wait to go back!

My husband and I both agree that this is a 5 star restaurant. We had the pan seared scallops with an augratin and fingerling potato dish, and it was cooked to perfection. We both had desert which was gluten free and yummy! The flan with homemade caramel sauce and the blonde brownie sundae were awesome! I love the look inside the house, reminds me of a farm house with welcoming feel. The owners were excellent and helped me with my choices for dinner and desert. Everything that is either gluten free or can be made gluten free, has an asterisk on the menu. It is pricey, but as they say, you get what you pay for here. More of an adult venue.
Yes
Everything on their menu looked amazing and was clearly labeled. The issue was mainly a forgetful server (though extremely kind) and the Hollandaise sauce was not up to par. Definitely want to give another try though
Amazing meal! Had the salmon special, clam chowder, chocolate explosion dessert and coconut flan. All gluten free! So many choices on the menu! Would highly recommend!!

Outstanding! Celiac-aware, knowledgeable staff, really gluten-free and delicious with many menu choices. Nice room, comfortable and convivial. Highly recommended for celiac/gluten-free dining.
Yes
So many choices! I decided on the eggs benedict and it was wonderful. They know and understand celiac disease.

Most of the menu is available gf and the food was very good. I’ve been twice and enjoyed each time.

Amazing breakfast! I believe that everything on the means could be made to accommodate. The only thing not gluten free or unknown is the coffee.
Yes
Almost everything on the menu was available gluten free. A great choice of dishes and the environment was lovely.

Staff is very knowledgeable, they do have lots of GF options - ricotta pancakes, bread & buns to make all sandwiches- even croque madam- and a delicious herbed Gf batter for fried haddock. It is a shared fryer so u will need gluten-digesting enzymes. Sadly, the lobster roll is only available at dinner☹
Great gluten free options for all meals. Great fried fish and chips both gluten free.
Look NO FURTHER! The GF sandwiches here are second to none! Very rare to find superb quality AND service. The atmosphere is great. AND THEY HAVE PARKING! Very knowledgeable staff of GF menu .

We come here every time we visit Ogunquit and I just realized that I’ve never written a review. I’ve been here several times and have never had an issue. The food is delicious no matter the time of day. Sometimes we’ll just sit at the bar and have a drink or two over some small bites. Haven’t been in some time and can’t wait to return this summer!!
Yes
There are so many things on the menu that are, or can be made gluten free. We went for breakfast and I had gluten free blueberry pancakes. They were wonderful! Also the place itself is charming. Will definitely come back here on our next vacation.

This was our second trip to this area of Maine. We luckily found the Roost last year. It was so delicious that we ate three meals there.
A year later we returned to find the good and service was consistently wonderful during both s dinner and breakfast. They take gluten free/ celiac seriously and take extreme care when preparing and serving meals to assure no cross contamination. They serve all gf good on colored plates to make sure their is no oversized. It is a joy to dine out without worrying about my health. They truly “get it”. If I could give more than 5 stars I would.
Now to address the delicious food... each and every bit that my husband and I enjoyed was cooked and served perfectly. The menu denotes which items either are naturally gluten free or can be prepared that way. The delicious options are wonderful. Their fried calamari and fried oysters were beyond amazing with light and crispy coating and fabulous dipping sauces and sides. More than 2:2 of their desserts are gf too we shared a scrumptious rhubarb cheesecake. Yummmm
For brunch we ate outside and enjoyed grapefruit mimosas with our egg Benedict .... they have about a half a dozen types. I enjoyed a portobello Benedict with grilled tomato, spinach with a lovely Hollandaise sauce on a split grilled corn muffin. That muffin was easily the best version I’ve had in very long time!
If you are looking for other recommendations... my husband and I enjoyed their: salad both chopped and beet
Eggs Benedict, lobster pot pie, lamb, fish and chips, tortillas stack, and a yummy omelette.
You can be sure we will be returning on our next trip north!

What a great restaurant! I was able to have fish and chips which is very hard to find where I live. They have colored plates to show that they’re gluten free meals and the staff is very knowledgeable. Would highly recommend!
Yes
The food was great. The place is also very cute. The service was kind but very slow - if you have small kids, be prepared for that - but we ate safely and enjoyed it!

Many GF brunch options and one of the best meals in a long time.
Very knowledgeable staff. Not to mention the absolutely delicious food

After eating here twice in one weekend for breakfast without any issues I feel comfortable writing a review! I have Celiac Disease AND lactose intolerance and they were more than accommodating. I’m a lobster lover and had to have their lobster Florentine omelet both days. They make gluten free English muffins and home fries!! The omelet was made with water instead of milk, and was chalk full of lobster, tomato and spinach. It was to die for and I had to go back the next day to get it again. I am very sensitive and get sick over the smallest pinch of cross contamination and had no issues either time. I would highly recommend The Roost if you’re in the area! 5 Stars all around. :)

We have eaten brunch here a few times and my celiac son had terrific meals every time. Very accommodating servers.
Staff overwhelmed by lunchtime crowd, food delicious but sick for remainder of day and night after eating it.
Our meals were delicious. We have two people in my party that have celiac. We had great calamari with sweet and spicy chili sauce. I had lemon roast chicken special with sour cream mashed potatoes, sunchokes and pattypan summer squash. It was soo good. My friend had gluten free Korean short-rib tacos that she said were amazing! For dessert we shared coconut flan which was good. Service was on the slower casual side it very friendly, knowledgable and accommodating. Would definitely come back and recommend for celiac diners.
The atmosphere was very cozy and the food was amazing. I can't wait to go back! I have celiac and I had no problems.
Yes
I highly recommend this amazing place. The staff are so knowledgeable about gluten free food. They have a fabulous selection of gluten free options. They have separate fryer.
Yes
Staff was incredible. Knowledgeable of both GF and other allergies. Chef is made aware of all allergies and prepares food specifically for you. We have allergies to Gluten, Dairy, Soy, almond, and Paprika. Been there twice. Great time and great food.
Yes
No separate menu but most items can be made gluten free. Got a Rueben and was probably the best one I've ever had, was even able to have fries. This place is excellent! We got a blueberry muffin from the bakery to take home which was just ok.

Fantastic! So many gf options, went for breakfast and had a choice of corn or blueberry muffin with my meal. Food is incredible and so is the staff. Our waiter was well informed and helpful. We will be back, probably have most of our meals at the Roost. Definitely worth checking it out.
Yes
Very impressed with the gluten free options here. Being newly diagnosed with celiac disease I'm still learning how to navigate menus and figure out where I can safely eat. This was not only fantastic food and service but knowing that the staff clearly understood my needs was a huge relief . We will probably eat here everyday the entire trip ! I wish I didn't live 2 hours away or I'd be a regular for sure . Thanks roost for making my vacation even better !
Amazing GF options and all delicious! Breakfast lunch and dinner!
Yes
Many gluten free options for breakfast including fresh toast and pancakes. They use Udi's bread for their French toast. They also have a bakery on site that offers gluten free blueberry muffins and scones and a zucchini bread. No dedicated kids menu but they are certainly willing to cut down potions for them.
Yes
My husband and I both had a gluten free lunch. He had a tuna melt and liked it. I had a steak sandwich and was disappointed that the meat was awful tough. I had fries and he had sweet potato waffle fries. We had water with our meals and it was about $40 without the tip. It was exciting to have such a large selection of GF items on the menu, but I wouldn't recommend the steak and cheese sandwich.
