Cute place for breakfast. Most of the menu can be made gluten free and the GF pancakes were the fluffiest I’ve ever had!

We ate dinner here and enjoyed it so much that we came back for breakfast. Most everything on the menu can be made gluten free so there is a huge selection of good things to eat. The crab cakes and clam chowder were excellent as were the lemon ricotta pancakes. I wish we were going to be here another day so we could eat here again!

The best brunch ever!!! I’ve had two different Benedict’s on the menu and they were both incredible. A cute little restaurant with incredible food. The menu has gf designations on it so no need for a separate menu.

Very nice atmosphere and waitress was very sweet. My wife and I arrived at 8:15am and were the only ones in the restaurant. Red flag. GF blueberry pancakes were horrible. They were about an inch thick and bone dry. Very few blueberries.

Quite a few gluten free options which I really appreciate, especially in this area. I decided on the blueberry pancakes after reading other positive reviews. I was not that impressed with the pancakes but the home fries were awesome. Nothing was wrong with the pancakes but they weren’t anything amazing in my opinion. I didn’t get sick so that’s a major plus. I’m definitely going back but I’ll try something else next time. Also, a little pricey for breakfast!

My husband and I both agree that this is a 5 star restaurant. We had the pan seared scallops with an augratin and fingerling potato dish, and it was cooked to perfection. We both had desert which was gluten free and yummy! The flan with homemade caramel sauce and the blonde brownie sundae were awesome! I love the look inside the house, reminds me of a farm house with welcoming feel. The owners were excellent and helped me with my choices for dinner and desert. Everything that is either gluten free or can be made gluten free, has an asterisk on the menu. It is pricey, but as they say, you get what you pay for here. More of an adult venue.

Everything on their menu looked amazing and was clearly labeled. The issue was mainly a forgetful server (though extremely kind) and the Hollandaise sauce was not up to par. Definitely want to give another try though

Staff is very knowledgeable, they do have lots of GF options - ricotta pancakes, bread & buns to make all sandwiches- even croque madam- and a delicious herbed Gf batter for fried haddock. It is a shared fryer so u will need gluten-digesting enzymes. Sadly, the lobster roll is only available at dinner☹

We come here every time we visit Ogunquit and I just realized that I’ve never written a review. I’ve been here several times and have never had an issue. The food is delicious no matter the time of day. Sometimes we’ll just sit at the bar and have a drink or two over some small bites. Haven’t been in some time and can’t wait to return this summer!!

This was our second trip to this area of Maine. We luckily found the Roost last year. It was so delicious that we ate three meals there.

A year later we returned to find the good and service was consistently wonderful during both s dinner and breakfast. They take gluten free/ celiac seriously and take extreme care when preparing and serving meals to assure no cross contamination. They serve all gf good on colored plates to make sure their is no oversized. It is a joy to dine out without worrying about my health. They truly “get it”. If I could give more than 5 stars I would.

Now to address the delicious food... each and every bit that my husband and I enjoyed was cooked and served perfectly. The menu denotes which items either are naturally gluten free or can be prepared that way. The delicious options are wonderful. Their fried calamari and fried oysters were beyond amazing with light and crispy coating and fabulous dipping sauces and sides. More than 2:2 of their desserts are gf too we shared a scrumptious rhubarb cheesecake. Yummmm

For brunch we ate outside and enjoyed grapefruit mimosas with our egg Benedict .... they have about a half a dozen types. I enjoyed a portobello Benedict with grilled tomato, spinach with a lovely Hollandaise sauce on a split grilled corn muffin. That muffin was easily the best version I’ve had in very long time!

If you are looking for other recommendations... my husband and I enjoyed their: salad both chopped and beet Eggs Benedict, lobster pot pie, lamb, fish and chips, tortillas stack, and a yummy omelette.

You can be sure we will be returning on our next trip north!

After eating here twice in one weekend for breakfast without any issues I feel comfortable writing a review! I have Celiac Disease AND lactose intolerance and they were more than accommodating. I’m a lobster lover and had to have their lobster Florentine omelet both days. They make gluten free English muffins and home fries!! The omelet was made with water instead of milk, and was chalk full of lobster, tomato and spinach. It was to die for and I had to go back the next day to get it again. I am very sensitive and get sick over the smallest pinch of cross contamination and had no issues either time. I would highly recommend The Roost if you’re in the area! 5 Stars all around. :)

Our meals were delicious. We have two people in my party that have celiac. We had great calamari with sweet and spicy chili sauce. I had lemon roast chicken special with sour cream mashed potatoes, sunchokes and pattypan summer squash. It was soo good. My friend had gluten free Korean short-rib tacos that she said were amazing! For dessert we shared coconut flan which was good. Service was on the slower casual side it very friendly, knowledgable and accommodating. Would definitely come back and recommend for celiac diners.

Very impressed with the gluten free options here. Being newly diagnosed with celiac disease I'm still learning how to navigate menus and figure out where I can safely eat. This was not only fantastic food and service but knowing that the staff clearly understood my needs was a huge relief . We will probably eat here everyday the entire trip ! I wish I didn't live 2 hours away or I'd be a regular for sure . Thanks roost for making my vacation even better !

Many gluten free options for breakfast including fresh toast and pancakes. They use Udi's bread for their French toast. They also have a bakery on site that offers gluten free blueberry muffins and scones and a zucchini bread. No dedicated kids menu but they are certainly willing to cut down potions for them.

My husband and I both had a gluten free lunch. He had a tuna melt and liked it. I had a steak sandwich and was disappointed that the meat was awful tough. I had fries and he had sweet potato waffle fries. We had water with our meals and it was about $40 without the tip. It was exciting to have such a large selection of GF items on the menu, but I wouldn't recommend the steak and cheese sandwich.
