Rose Tavern

We went to this place late on a weekday (after coming in from out of town to spend the day with a hospitalized family member) because it was open and had a good rating for celiacs on this app. “Tavern” sounded casual. We had a great experience but it was way nicer than we were expecting. The 2 of us had one cabbage/farrow (not GF) appetizer, one GF chicken entree, one GF dessert and 2 glasses of wine, which came to $160 with a normal tip. Great staff, lovely space, awesome food and drink. Highly recommend. Just be prepared for what you’re walking into.

High end service in a casual atmosphere. Almost anything can be modified to be GF. Chef said don't eat anything from the frier if cealic or super sensitive. Their GF bread is nice. We feel very safe going here and have eaten here 3 times with no reactions.

Selection of items can be made gluten free, but some (ie the brussel sprouts) lost a lot of their flavor with the modifications. Chicken was tasty though.

Also had breakfast one day, good gf toast substitutes.

My husband and I went out for dinner and the food was delicious. They shared with us when they first opened one of the chefs at that time had celiac disease so he wrote the menu to be completely gluten friendly. I did not have any reaction eating at rose tavern.
