Have been a few times and the food and service is always amazing. My wife hasn’t gotten sick and it’s just a nice spot to have a bite to eat. Will definitely go back.

Literally run and do not walk to Roux. Today. This place is fantastic; everyone is happy, the food is amazing, and you can enjoy phenomenal food without gluten… at an authentic Cajun restaurant. Mind blown!⚡️
Gluten free safety wise, we didn’t get sick (celiac) and they seemed to know their stuff. However, service wise it was terrible.
We went on a Sunday at 12, there weren’t many people there, and it took over 20 mins for us to get our order taken. Appetizers (fried pickles and blackened gator) were great, but went downhill from there. All of our entrees were cold (not even slightly warm), my daughters pasta was severely undercooked, and the jambalaya was 99% rice. Also nobody ever checked on us throughout the meal to see if we needed anything.
While they took the pasta off our bill, it was still a very bad experience, and we will not return. Even if the service/kitchen issues were resolved, the food wasn’t good enough to return.

That was not good food. Also I got sick. I’m not sure what it was that made me sick, but the reaction was similar to cross contamination. The food wasn’t good at all.

We love Roux! They were so considerate with my needed request for GF-safety with my chicken wrap, even marking on the box that it was GF. I have to say that the GF fries are on point, the real deal: dense and gently browned, salted and seasoned. Most folks are so sadly used to frozen foodservice fries, that a fresh one strikes them as soggy, but they are so very wrong; these are fantastic. At Roux, I can eat fries from a restaurant without worrying about fryer cross-contamination with gluten. It’s a fried miracle! Roux has a dedicated-GF fryer (and a loud hallelujah is heard from the celiacs!) My kids got the chicken tenders and they were VERY GOOD! Fresh, tender, chunky spikes of awesome. And the chicken tenders are GF! Actually amazing. We don’t eat very much fried food, but Roux will be our go-to for anything fried from now on, they just do it right. The nice little side salads were a neat accompaniment, and the jambalaya (which is GF and served with GF cornbread!!) was great! As for the Beignets, well they simply can’t be GF (yet!) but my troops say they were fantastic, and the owners are working on creating a GF version! I felt like I could eat their food and not be stressed. As with anywhere that isn’t 100% GF, always make sure to communicate your needs, great places like Roux will look out for you!

I have celiac disease and finding safe places to eat is really difficult. If you live in the Hartford area, Roux Cajun eatery kicks butt! They offer majority of their menu gluten free! Tonight I had fried pickles, chicken tender AND fries, and a pecan pie all GF!! They even have gf croutons for your salad! Highly recommend!

Absolutely fantastic! A third of the menu is 100% gluten free, and another third can be made gluten free upon request. Reasonably priced and fantastic authentic Cajun food!

Great gluten free choices, both already GF or can be made GF. I had the jambalaya which came with GF cornbread and a side salad. The salad had restaurant-made croutons made from Udi's. I also had bourbon pecan pie, which was exciting because I never find GF desserts. Owners are awesome and really knowledgeable. The restaurant uses GF cutting boards, prep spaces, and has a GF fryer for things like fried pickles and poboys. Would highly recommend if you're in the Valley and looking for great food with tons of choices.

Got takeout and the food was great! It was clearly marked GF and they even left a little note that said “croutons are gluten free!” (funny they knew I’d be immediately concerned by croutons in my salad). They have a dedicated fryer too. Definitely recommend trying them
