They have a “gluten free friendly” menu (which is smaller than the regular menu and very hard to read) so I ordered a BLT. Then the server came and asked if I wanted the fried green tomato on that? I hadn’t seen where it said it included a fried green tomato in the small print. I said no, just sliced tomato. Then she came back and said is it okay that my food might come in contact with gluten containing food? I said it’s better if it doesn’t but should be okay. It was not okay. I definitely had a reaction. If they’re not going to make a good faith effort then don’t bother having a “gf” menu. I think the bread was Udi’s which I don’t care for anyway. The fries were very good. But, I won’t go back. My husband’s good looked great. But, not worth it to me. And how hard is it to have a dedicated gf toaster? Or a gf fry daddy? I read the other day that 25% of the population is gf - restaurants need to do more.
I prefer Another Broken Egg or Flying Biscuit where you can get gf pancakes if you don’t want toast.
