Russell's Fireside Dining Room

I know this place as the Lodge at Lake McDonald. The receipt did say Russell's. Service was super SLOW and not the best. WE waited 25 minutes for a table on a Friday niight and it took 1 hour for our food to arrive. The server didn't know what Celiac was and had very limited info on GF options. The menu has a few things noted as GF but many other dishes that looked like it could be GF or made GF easily, but the server didn't know much and would check was the chef and came back and said no. I got the burger with GF bun and had to ask when it came out to ensure the bun was GF because it looked normal. I asked the burger to be well done and it came out completely pink in the middle. I didn't get sick so that was great, but the food didn't taste like anything special and the service and my confidence in Russell's was lacking.

In an area with limited options, this place was good to have. Breakfast has gluten free huckleberry scones! Yay! Lunch/dinner has gluten free buns for tasty burgers.
