I was at The Rusty this weekend. They have added burger buns, with seeds, and flatbread. They also still have bread, large slices. And work to meet Celiac restrictions
— Gluten-free items are marked on the main menu
I was sick after eating here and called the manager. It turns out the fryers are not dedicated, and the wait staff will tell you something is gluten free without actually knowing that for sure. The manager tells the wait staff to use common sense when answering questions about what is gluten free. As in that shouldn’t have gluten in it, so you should be okay. Definitely not safe for celiacs!

So impressed with this place! I have been twice, and both times (2 different servers) I mentioned my allergy and they were incredibly informative and knowledgeable regarding shared fryers, and went through the menu with me making recommendations on what they could make, because the menu is not labeled with gf. Had no adverse reaction after eating here. Great place and atmosphere as well!

The folks at the Rusty Rail were careful and knowledgeable about food allergies. We attended a special event with a set menu, and they had Gluten Free options already included. They were also willing to cook specially for my son who has multiple allergies. And the food was delicious and innovative. Spicy chicken lettuce wraps, spinach and berry salad, beef that was tender and had a perfect sauce and was served with crisp green beans and sticky rice, and finally an amazing sorbet and cream dessert. I just found my new local favorite restaurant.
