Saigon Restaurant has a menu that labels gluten containing items with a wheat emblem and identifies wheat as an allergen with the letter “A.” However, items with the wheat emblem are not identified as allergen “A,” so it all appears to be a bit random.
In speaking with the wait staff, multiple items labeled as gluten free are described as containing soy sauce, not tamari sauce. There is no recognition that soy sauce is generally wheat based.
All in all, this is not a restaurant for those with celiac disease and probably not for those with gluten sensitivity as well.
