I walked up to the pickup window instead of the drive thru so I could chat with a server. The gal I spoke to was so incredibly kind and patient when I said I had celiac and asked a ton of questions. I asked about their setup and all of the gluten items (tortilla and croutons) are assembled in a different section of the kitchen to try and avoid as much cross contact as possible. After talking about cross contact my only concern was the lettuce because they do use their hands for that. Everything else has silverware that is scooped when served, so I asked if they would be willing to pull my lettuce for my salad from the fridge instead on one the line and they were more than accommodating. They were extremely friendly and the gal even said she understood because some of her family is celiac too. I made sure to go when they were not busy and I think that was key as I watched through the window as they took their time and all of them changed their gloves.

Salad and Go used to be a safe option for those with celiac; however, they no longer seem to follow protocols consistently at any location and have taken the labeling off a lot of their menu. I used to go weekly but have gotten sick a number of times of the last few months. Would not recommend to anyone with celiac.

Salad was very good and good size. They definitely have gluten free options
The menu has changed but the staff has protocols to deal with gluten allergies.

Asked the server for a salad for someone with a severe gluten allergy and they asked, "No croutons, then?" I asked them to also change their gloves and they reiterated at the window that they had been careful and changed their gloves. Yet the salad was filled with croutons.

Salad & Go is my go to stop for food when I’m on the go. They carry seasonal soups and salads.

Salad and go does a wonderful job acknowledging and not cross contaminating my food every time!!!!
When I tell them gluten allergy they let me know they are changing their gloves and they are trained to know to remove blue cheese!!! I usually get a cob salad no blue cheese and it’s a perfect healthy meal.

Refused to check their own menu or ingredients. Told me to do it myself in the line. I did, couldn’t find on the menu. All I wanted to know was if ranch dressing was gf. So I ended up with a protein box with no sauce. Got a tea. Won’t bother going to again.

So happy to have a quick and healthy option that I can rely on not getting sick from. I have gone 8 times without getting sick.

When going through the drive thru I asked about safety procedures to avoid cross contamination. Staff was super friendly and said they will change gloves and make sure items don’t get contaminated. Brought my salad home and enjoyed it with no issues! Dressings come in plastic pouches which was reassuring. Tasty too!
