Huge shoutout to Jacob and his team for keeping me safely gluten free! My husband and I had a salad and “You Pick 2” salad/soup combo today. We’ve dined here before several times, both before and after knowing I had celiac and always had great experiences. It has been a challenge finding restaurants that understand that I not only that can’t eat gluten, but that measures need to be taken so cross-contamination doesn’t happen. Today our experience was exceptional! I told Jacob that I had celiac. He immediately washed his hands, donned new gloves and even got out new containers for the ingredients going into my salad. (BTW most Saladworks salads are gluten free.). He double-checked that the tortilla strips were gluten free in a nutrition notebook , and I was given an optional apple in place of the roll. My salad and soup were fresh and fantastic, as usual. If you’re looking for a celiac-friendly place to eat, check out this Saladworks!

Used their allergens/restrictions guide on their website to decide what to order. Got a Salad and a small Turkey Sausage & Kale Soup. To be honest, I’d get just a large soup next time. It was really good and the salad was okay.
A lot of cross contamination! Depending on when you go there, depends on the situation. Older shorter woman is decent. There was a younger girl working when I went in last and there was pasta in the lettuce. After requesting new gloves, I saw the pasta in the lettuce and asked if I could get fresh where they have it separately. With her hand she grabbed the pasta and some of the lettuce, threw it out, then with the same glove grabbed lettuce for the salad and stated “what’s the problem.” I had to leave as it wouldn’t be safe to eat. Haven’t returned since.

While the staff was not knowledgeable on Celiac at gluten free, I was able to navigate their menu and find something I could eat. I had the Bentley salad which was essentially a salad with ham, Turkey, tomatoes, egg and bacon so very similar to a Cob salad. Ohare in general is one of the most challenging large airports for gluten free options in my opinion.

I had an excellent experience here! As soon as I indicated that I had Celiac, my order was taken and the server immediately removed her gloves and indicated she would be happy be prepare my salad separately in the back in a dedicated area. Everyone was friendly and accommodating. I had no problems at all and would definitely return!
