Sammy's Pizzeria

Overpriced and under-friendly.

While ordering take-out, the staff was curt, offered no information other than what was shown on the menu, and put me on hold for an unreasonable amount of time (and that was before I asked any questions). I was being charged over $18 for a personal-size GF pizza with one topping, and this establishment requires payment in advance. They refused to take the order without charging my credit card first. Cash is not an option. Paying upon pick up, like nearly every other pizza place I've ever known, is not an option. Overall, everything about the ordering process was off-putting, and the staff seemed to have zero interest in having me as a customer. In the end, we canceled the order, due to rudeness, and went somewhere else.

How much of the menu is available gluten-free?

— Not Much

So I am celiac but I don't suspect I'm all that sensitive. Sammy's has great gf pizza made from dough they get elsewhere and the same sauce and cheese they use for the regular pizza. So there isn't too much risk of cross contamination in the kitchen, the only thing is they make the gf pizza in the same oven with regular. I asked about this and was told there is no other way they can make it and decided to risk it. It was definitely worth it as I feel completely fine a day later and the pizza was delicious. Again, not sure exactly how sensitive I am especially to trace amounts of gluten, so if you are very sensitive probably would want to avoid Sammy's. But if not, it's a great place to get some gf pizza! Also side note, don't get fries or anything as fryer is shared with mozzarella sticks, etc.
