Sammy's Trattoria

It has been a long time since I went to a restaurant that literally only had one thing on the menu I could eat, which was a salad. But this is one of those places. I asked if their shrimp scampi had any flour in it, not the pasta, mind you, and they said yes, there was flour in the sauce. They claim everything is made to order, but did not offer to make me any accommodations, so I did not feel they even had the knowledge base to make safe accommodations and didn’t ask. I ordered the Sally salad. I think it was called with salmon. It was delicious, don’t get me wrong, but everyone else’s pasta dishes looked like they were to die for. I felt very deprived. Also beware the salad they off the table is not complimentary! $42 for ours (we had 6 people) that we were unaware of. It was great, but not $42 great!

Do not eat here! They do offer gluten free pasta however they add "a little flour" to the past sauce and don't tell you until after you've eaten it despite asking multiple times for confirmation that your order is gluten free

They obviously don't understand food allergies nor do they care that they've made you I'll.

The menu is extensive and the food Italian. The air is fine dining and the atmosphere intimate.
